NCC CAMP

The National Cadet Corps grooms the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. The young MMPIANS developed their character and enhanced their spirit of adventure service by attending the CATC Camp held from 25th May 2023 to 03rd June 2023 at DG NCC Parade Ground, Delhi Cantt..

Cadets have learnt about leadership, a sense of responsibility, self-discipline and self-defense. Students did various activities like March Past, Shooting, Mock Drills, Firing, Games, Drawing Competition and Different Exercises.

Cadets visited India Gate and National War Memorial. All the cadets received participation certificates.

The entire training session was highly beneficial for the students to follow the motto of NCC “Unity and Discipline” to be secular and disciplined citizens of the Nation.

MMPians at National Television on Disaster Management program 'Aapda Ka Saamna '

As students are change makers and help in bringing awareness in society and nation scholars of M.M. Public School were invited to be a part of national telecast on Aapda ka Samna, an awareness program by National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) at Doordarshan on Sunday, 11 June 2023 .

The eminent speakers Rajender Singh (Member NDMA), Dr. Sunita Reddy ( Professor JNU), Hemlata Bhirwani (Scientist IMD) and Manoj Kumar Yadav ( DIG NDRF) shared the necessary guidelines and precautionary measures with students during the live telecast at https://youtu.be/qqPZ_2gWaMs.which was also helpful to enhance knowledge about safety measures to be taken during natural calamities like flood especially in urban areas

During the discussion, the panel shared relevant and significant information about the types of floods and the reasons that cause them and also informed the students , to face monsoon season without any hurdles, as the students can spread awareness not only about the risk management and precautionary measures but also fill the gap between the agencies and the society so that the affected people especially homeless ones can be provided assistance.

The ' queries of students regarding the risk reduction and mitigation were further resolved by the speakers MMPians resolved to follow and practice the guidelines in issued by National Disaster Management of India. Thus the session proved to be knowledgeable and inspirational.

‘Education and awareness play a huge role in the conservation of water.’

M.M. Public School  the only school  from all over Delhi has been acknowledged by the Ministry of Jal Shakti Department of Water Resources, River  & Ganga Rejuvenation for its endless endeavor to save water .The educator and mentor Principal  Ms. Rooma Pathak received Jal Prahari Samman 2023 for the same by the chief guest Hon’ble Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Minister of Jal Shakti, Govt. of India, on Wednesday, 29 March 2023 at  New Maharashtra Sadan, Delhi amidst the presence of  Hon’ble Dr. Bhagwat Karad, Minister of State for Finance Govt. of India; Hon’ble Shri Gopal Shetty, Hon’ble Shri Manoj Tiwari, Hon’ble Shri Unmesh Patil, M.P(L.S.); Shri Gopal Arya, Paryavaran Prakalp Pramukh, RSS; Shri Sunil Deodhar, National Secretary, BJP & Founder My Home India;  BK Asha Didi, Director Om Shanti, Retreat Center and   Shri Tridev Swami, Tirupati Balaji.

It was a great honor for the school to be recognised by the   Knowledge Partners CEEW (Council on Energy, Environment and Water) and UNOPS (United Nations Office for Project Services).

AN INSIGHT INTO THE PARLIAMENT HOUSE

To gain knowledge about the proceedings of  Parliament Session, it was indeed a matter of privilege for  Principal Ms. Rooma Pathak along with other eminent members of  Atal Sahodaya  to be invited by  Hon'ble MP Sh. Pravesh Vermaji to  visit and gain knowledge about the Parliament House on Monday, 27 March 2023.

Esteemed MP Shri Parvesh Verma ji made all the Principals peep into the world of parliament by giving exposure to workings of both the houses. The meeting  with  Hon’ble Hardeep Singh Puri, the Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs in the Government of India;  Hon’ble Minister Sh. Kiren Rijiju,  Union Minister of Law and Justice;  Ms. Kanimozhi Karunanidhi and Ms. Navneet Kaur Rana, Member of Parliament and many other dignitaries/ ministers and MPs proved to be fruitful.

Gratefulness and gratitude to MP Sh. Parvesh Vermaji for providing such a learning experience with personal guidance and also giving an opportunity to all the Principals of being together during lunch, which was indeed a respite from the busy schedule of March month.

It was a proud and prestigious moment for our school when our seasoned and visionary Principal Ma’am Ms. Rooma Pathak was conferred with the most inspiring and invigorating “Shiksha Gaurav Puraskar 2023” on 18 March 2023 during an event at Hotel ITC Sheraton, New Delhi.

Many luminaries including Dr Raghuvir Singh, Vice Chancellor - Teerthanker Mahaveer University; Vinesh Menon, CEO, Ampersand Group of Schools, Sudhir Nayar, Business Head Enterprise & Education, Apple India etc. were present in the event. Mr. Manish Naidu, Founder, @Brainwonders and the CEO, Sandeep Gulati, Universal Mentor Association (UMA) Conferences admired our principal, Ms. Rooma Pathak, for putting outstanding teaching practices into the school's experiential learning and technology-based curriculum. Such ovations and praise for our esteemed Principal Ma'am have undoubtedly aided her in pushing the school's performance graph higher and higher every year.

The results for '#ATL School of the Month' for October to December 2022 are out!

MM Public School is immensely pleasured on being selected as ATL School of the month once again. The School is featured in the list of top 5 Schools of Delhi and top 150 Schools of the Country out of over 5000 operational ATLs in the Country, as per a list released by ‘Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog’.

Activity on Community Helpers by preschoolers

A society comprises diverse people and professionals. Each member of the community play a significant role contributing towards the success and well-being of the society.

To understand and to respect the significance of each Community Helper, “SHOW AND TELL” Competition was organized on January 30, 2023’ for the youngsters of Grade L.K.G

The little Community Helpers wore beautiful dresses of Doctor, Nurse, Policeman Fruit seller, Washerman etc.

They hold their tools and demonstrated their role in an interactive manner.

Through this presentation students were able to learn the importance of community helpers and their impact in our life.

Organic Kitchen Garden by MMPians

To inculcate the values of donation to poor and needy ones and to create awareness about organic kitchens, an initiative was taken up by students of class V TO IX in the school premises under SDG 2 (ZERO HUNGER).

The beautiful kitchen garden owing to the benefits of homegrown food was given an industrious effort. They planted seeds of vegetables promising themselves to take care with utmost efforts. After harvesting the ripped vegetables, they would collect them and donate them to the needy ones and those suffering from malnutrition and other health issues. While doing so, they learned the types of seeds, their growth period and types of suitable care needed.

This noble initiative by students was applauded by our revered Principal Ma’am Mrs. Rooma Pathak who always teaches her students to work for the welfare of the society and its upliftment.

 

VISIT TO ROTI BANK

"Alone we can do a little, together we can do so much”

Students of classes III to VIII visited Roti Bank of Prashant Vihar on Friday, 27th January 2023, under the project SDG-2 Zero Hunger. Students brought freshly made chapatis from their homes and distributed them among underprivileged and poor people. They also interacted with some kids suffering from Malnutrition and understood the importance of food-the basic necessity and how the lack of food is affecting young generation.

This generous initiative motivated students to help the deprived ones and step up to eliminate hunger.

MMpians at Live Pariksha Pe Charcha 2023

It was indeed a wonderful privilege for MMPians to participate in the live Pariksha Pe Charcha 2023 event on January 27, 2023, at the Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi.

The students gained great experience and were motivated by their personal encounter with Prime Minister Shri Narender Modi. The PM addressed a variety of issues pertaining to students' lives throughout his interaction. These key aspects were the teacher-student relationship's ability to allay pupils' concerns when dealing with challenging subjects. He also discussed how each student's unique talent should be valued and supported. In addition, the honorable Prime Minister gave helpful advice on how to take board and entrance exams without stress and tension. He further briefed about the major advantage of NEP addressing the multidisciplinary domains. He cautioned against being addicted to gadgets that lead to distraction. After that, kids took selfies with PM Modi.

It was an incredible delight for the MMPians to participate in such a momentous event and to make the commitment to become Exam Warrior, putting fear and anxiety behind and accepting obstacles with courage and optimism.
