To inculcate the values of donation to poor and needy ones and to create awareness about organic kitchens, an initiative was taken up by students of class V TO IX in the school premises under SDG 2 (ZERO HUNGER).
The beautiful kitchen garden owing to the benefits of homegrown food was given an industrious effort. They planted seeds of vegetables promising themselves to take care with utmost efforts. After harvesting the ripped vegetables, they would collect them and donate them to the needy ones and those suffering from malnutrition and other health issues. While doing so, they learned the types of seeds, their growth period and types of suitable care needed.
This noble initiative by students was applauded by our revered Principal Ma’am Mrs. Rooma Pathak who always teaches her students to work for the welfare of the society and its upliftment.
"Alone we can do a little, together we can do so much”
Students of classes III to VIII visited Roti Bank of Prashant Vihar on Friday, 27th January 2023, under the project SDG-2 Zero Hunger. Students brought freshly made chapatis from their homes and distributed them among underprivileged and poor people. They also interacted with some kids suffering from Malnutrition and understood the importance of food-the basic necessity and how the lack of food is affecting young generation.
This generous initiative motivated students to help the deprived ones and step up to eliminate hunger.
It was indeed a wonderful privilege for MMPians to participate in the live Pariksha Pe Charcha 2023 event on January 27, 2023, at the Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi.
The students gained great experience and were motivated by their personal encounter with Prime Minister Shri Narender Modi. The PM addressed a variety of issues pertaining to students' lives throughout his interaction. These key aspects were the teacher-student relationship's ability to allay pupils' concerns when dealing with challenging subjects. He also discussed how each student's unique talent should be valued and supported. In addition, the honorable Prime Minister gave helpful advice on how to take board and entrance exams without stress and tension. He further briefed about the major advantage of NEP addressing the multidisciplinary domains. He cautioned against being addicted to gadgets that lead to distraction. After that, kids took selfies with PM Modi.
It was an incredible delight for the MMPians to participate in such a momentous event and to make the commitment to become Exam Warrior, putting fear and anxiety behind and accepting obstacles with courage and optimism.
To combat the stress that permeates exams and face the challenge as exam warriors, the students of MMPS watched PM Modi interacting with students at Talkatora stadium on January 27, 2023.
While interacting with students, PM Modi talked about the individual talent that each child possesses. Every student should put his fear and stress aside and face the examination as a normal assessment. By listening to the Prime Minister’s mantra to follow in life, the students came out with confidence and spirit to work diligently in studies.
Thus, the Pariksha Pe Charcha boosted the morale of the students.
“A nation’s culture resides in the hearts and the soul of its people.”
To commemorate the spirit of independent and individual India, celebrating democracy, the students of M.M.P.S celebrated the 74th Republic Day with patriotic zeal and fervour on Tuesday, 24th January 2022.
The special Assembly started with the chants of Gayatri Mantra & prayer which were followed by a flag hoisting ceremony by Revered Director Sir Shri Somesh Rishi Pathak and our venerated Principal Ma'am Mrs Rooma Pathak. The speech and poem delivered by students gave information about the sacrifices of our leaders and the rich heritage of India.
Little Champs of Classes Pre-Primary to Grade III attired in alluring fancy clothes represented the culture of different states like Kashmir, Sikkim, Punjab & Rajasthan. They danced to folk dances and talked about food and customs. The students of Class IV & V represented themselves as National heroes like Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Parbati Giri & the iron man, Vallah Bhai Patel etc. The students of Class VI & VII enacted the Mime Act depicting the sacrifice of our freedom fighters and the role of Gandhiji during independence. This performance enlightened and kindled the patriotic spirit in each heart. The patriotic song was also sung by the school choir. Apart from it, students were also shown a PPT by the respective class teachers on National War Memorial to disseminate important information about it.
Thus, the celebration concluded with the National Anthem and it was indeed a day which gave the message of Solidarity & Freedom to all.
