THE HERITAGE WALK ON 11-02-2014 AND 12-02-2014

Sheeshmahal is located in Shalimar bagh. It was constructed by the Mughal emperor Shahjahan in 1653 and was earlier known as ?Aizzabad -bagh?. Our school has adopted it as heritage. Students of VIII and IX class along with teachersVIsited this great monument on 11 February 2014. Two members from ASI (ARCHAEOLOGICAL SURVEY OF INDIA) (MR.VISHNU KANT & MRS.KANCHAN) came there to tell the students about Sheeshmahal. They also explained why there is a need to preserve the monument. Students took the oath there for preserving this heritage and asked questions from ASI officials related to Sheeshmahal.  They told each and every detail about Sheeshmahal to the students. Thus, it was enriching experience which sensitized students towards preservation of our heritage.

And then on February 12, 2014 at 8:00 a.m.  all the students of class VIII-A and VIII-B  along with their class teachers went for Heritage walk with the message ?Save SheeshMahal? to Lok Vihar and  Sandesh  Vihar. They conveyed their message through pamphlets with the purpose to make people aware about this monument ?Sheeshmahal?. Students also learnt a lot of things that why and how we should we should preserve our heritage. Everybody should contribute to "Preserve the past for the future". Our motto for this "Heritage Walk" was to convey the message about our heritage.
