Yashwant Yadav and Maitrey Rana made history by winning the gold medal Under 21 Doubles event at the ISTF World Tour International Soft Tennis Championship 2023, held at Greta Resort & Sports Club, Chonburi, Thailand from 25-30 July.

The duo displayed remarkable skill, stamina and teamwork throughout the tournament, overcoming tough opponents from Japan, China and Taiwan enroute to the final. Honorable Principal Ma’am Mrs. Rooma Pathak congratulated students who brought name and fame to the school as well as the nation.

To prevent drastic climatic changes, Tree Plantation was held during the ongoing Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav under the program Meri Maati Mera Desh on Wednesday, 16 August 2023 in the presence of the esteemed guests Smt. Neelam Kumari, Deputy Director Education, Keshav Puram Zone, Municipal Corporation of Delhi(MCD); Mr. Yogesh Pant, IEC Representative of DMSWSL, MCD and Mr.Mukesh SI, MCD who were warmly welcomed with a sapling as a gift by honorable Director Sir Shri Somesh Rishi Pathak and revered Principal Ma’am Mrs. Rooma Pathak.

The event commenced with a lamp lighting ceremony followed by a welcome song by the school choir. Director Sir and Principal Ma’am alongwith the esteemed dignitaries and students then planted the saplings. The informative Nukkad Natak exhibited by the senior students on Save Earth and Environment was quite educational. The esteemed guest Mrs. Neelam Kumari Deputy Director Education in her address talked about the role of students to preserve and conserve earth by nurturing the plants. The event concluded with the national anthem.

Tree plantation was indeed a great learning experience for all the students as it created a feeling of responsibility towards their planet earth.

Raj Kumar Anand, Cabinet Minister Govt. of NCT of Delhi on Saturday, 19 August 2023 during an event at Kedarnath Sahni Auditorium, Delhi. This event was organized by the Delhi Minority Commission (DMC), the Government of NCT Delhi and the Action Committee.

A special message assembly was conducted to celebrate festival of Raksha Bandhan. The event commenced by involving the blessings of the almighty with a prayer. Thereafter, the mythological story on Raksha Bandhan was narrated by the facilitator. Children enjoyed watching animated movie on Raksha Bandhan.

The three day Zone XI Lawn Tennis Tournament 2023 commenced with a grand opening ceremony by the Guest, DDE Zone XI Mr. Anil Kumar Sharma on Friday, 4 August 2023 in the school premises with enthusiasm and exuberance.

The honorable Guest was warmly welcomed with a planter
by the respected Director Sir Mr. Somesh Rishi Pathak, and revered Principal Ma’am, Mrs. Rooma Pathak amidst the esteemed presence of dignitaries Mrs. Krishna Meena, the Secretary of Sports (Girls), and Mr. Praveen Kumar Yadav, the Secretary of Sports (Boys).

The grand opening ceremony began with a melodious welcome song by the school choir, followed by the lighting of the lamp by DDE Zone XI, Mr. Anil Kumar who addressed the gathering and congratulated the host school for organizing such a splendid event. He also motivated the players of 16 schools(Teams of Boys and Girls) from Zone XI to play with full dedication, honesty and sportsman spirit. He then declared the Zonal Tournament open by cutting the ribbon which marked the opening of the Lawn Tennis matches.

Making of Sandwich Activity

To inculcate the habit of healthy eating, SANDWICH MAKING activity was organized for grade U.K.G Learners. Little children turned into master chefs. The facilitator taught the meaning of the words like the edge of the bread, Spreading butter, laying cucumber, tomato etc. Children thoroughly enjoyed making sandwiches and relished them too!
