The ‘Catch the Rain 2026’ campaign was formally launched by Mrs. Rekha Gupta, Honourable Chief Minister of Delhi, as an initiative of the Delhi Jal Board, in the presence of eminent dignitaries—Mr. Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma, Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi; Ms. Bansuri Swaraj, Member of Parliament; and Mr. Anil Kumar Sharma, Member of the Delhi Legislative Assembly. Representatives of MM Public School attended the event and gained valuable insights into rainwater harvesting and water conservation practices.

The programme featured the unveiling of the mascot “Neera – Voice of Water” and highlighted the message, “Catch the Rain where it falls, when it falls,” inspired by Narendra Modi. It included cultural performances, awareness activities, and demonstrations of simple water conservation techniques. Key announcements, such as the mandatory installation of rainwater harvesting systems and incentives for their implementation, were also made.

To familiarise parents with the academic framework, recent updates introduced by the Central Board of Secondary Education, and the various initiatives undertaken by the school for the holistic development of students, an Orientation Programme was organised on 2 May 2026.

During the session, teachers apprised parents of the changes in the CBSE curriculum across different classes, including the introduction of new textbooks and the revised assessment structure. Detailed information was provided on competency-based learning, experiential approaches, and application-oriented teaching. Parents were also made aware of internal assessment practices, periodic evaluations, subject enrichment activities, and the significance of continuous feedback.

The programme also showcased the school’s commitment to holistic education through a diverse range of co-curricular and skill-based initiatives. Facilities related to sports, vocational education, life skills development, and Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) were highlighted. Additionally, the integration of digital tools and innovative pedagogical strategies to make learning more engaging and effective was discussed.

Teachers guided parents on how to support their children’s learning at home and emphasised the importance of regular communication with the school. Queries and suggestions raised by parents were addressed during the interactive session.

The Orientation Programme proved to be informative and productive, strengthening the partnership between parents and teachers for the overall growth and development of students.

A comprehensive health check-up under Niramaya (Phase–3) was successfully conducted on 4 May 2026 on the school premises in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Delhi. The initiative covered students from Classes VI to IX, with the objective of promoting awareness about health and overall well-being.

A dedicated team of medical professionals carried out general screenings, including eye examinations and basic health assessments. The entire process was conducted in a smooth and well-organised manner, ensuring that each student received proper attention without any disruption to regular academic activities. The programme also highlighted the importance of early detection and preventive healthcare.

The initiative truly embodied the spirit of the slogan, “Healthy Kids, Happy Minds, Brighter Futures,” and left a lasting positive impact on all participants.

The Entrepreneur Club organized an engaging “Shark Tank”- themed activity on 4th May 2026 to promote creativity, leadership, and business awareness among students. Acting as contestants, students presented their innovative business ideas and products before the audience, simulating real-world entrepreneurial scenarios. They developed product concepts, planned marketing strategies, and showcased their ideas through presentations, reflecting originality and a strong understanding of basic business principles.

The activity enhanced students’ communication, decision-making, and critical thinking skills while encouraging teamwork and confidence. Teachers appreciated the efforts of the participants and provided constructive feedback to refine their ideas.

With bright smiles and bubbling enthusiasm, the tiny learners of Balvatika 1 began their day with a delightful and meaningful “Brushing up the Teeth Activity” on 4 May 2026.

The session was designed to instill healthy hygiene habits through fun, demonstration, and active participation. Children eagerly learned the correct brushing technique, understanding the importance of keeping their teeth clean and strong. Through hands-on practice, they developed awareness about daily oral care and its role in overall health. The activity not only enhanced their self-care skills but also nurtured a sense of responsibility towards personal hygiene. It was truly a joyful learning experience that left every child smiling brighter than ever.

With great enthusiasm and heartfelt appreciation, a Special Message Assembly on Labour Day was conducted on 30 April 2026 for the students of Balvatika I to II. A simple and engaging PPT was shown to impart knowledge about the importance of labour and to help young learners understand the dignity of work. The assembly highlighted the valuable contributions of helpers in our daily lives, fostering respect and empathy among students. As a meaningful gesture, students expressed their gratitude by offering eatables to the helpers and saying thank you in the presence of the Principal ma’am. This activity enhanced their social awareness, values of kindness, and sense of responsibility. The learning outcome was reflected in students developing respect for all professions and understanding the importance of gratitude and teamwork.

To promote awareness about water conservation, Jal Pakhwada was observed in the school from 16 April to 30 April 2026 through a series of purposeful activities aiming to instill responsible water usage.

The programme featured a Jal Sankalp Drive, where students pledged to conserve water. In Neer Natika, they presented short role plays highlighting the significance of water and the consequences of its misuse. Under the Leakage Detective Initiative, students examined taps and water sources within the school to identify and report leakages, encouraging hands-on involvement.

The Boond Bachao Abhiyaan introduced practical water-saving measures such as turning off taps properly, reusing water, and preventing unnecessary wastage. An informative video session further reinforced these concepts, making the learning experience more engaging and effective.

A special assembly was held on 30 April 2026 in the Auditorium to commemorate Labour Day and to reinforce the dignity of labour. The programme featured a thoughtful poem recitation and an engaging skit that highlighted the value of hard work and the importance of respecting every worker. As a mark of appreciation, students distributed useful items to support the workforce.

The assembly proved to be both enlightening and inspiring, instilling in everyone a deeper sense of respect and gratitude for the invaluable contributions of labourers to society.

To instil the values of leadership, responsibility, and commitment, Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2026-27 was held on Thursday, 30th April 2026. Honorable Principal Ma’am, Mrs. Rooma Pathak, conferred the newly elected council members with badges and sashes.

Prabal Kumar Shukla (XII) took over as Head Boy, and Disha (XII) was appointed Head Girl. Sarthak Mishra (XI) and Lavanya Saini (XI) took over the responsibility as Assistant Head Boy and Assistant Head Girl respectively. In Junior Wing, Bhavik Yadav (V-A) was appointed as Jr. Head Boy and Nayra Jidani (V-B) as Jr. Head Girl. Ishan Veer Singh Saini (IV-A) took charge as Jr. Assistant Head Boy, while Evana Sharma (IV-A) was entrusted with responsibilities of Jr. Assistant Head Girl.

The positions of Sports Head Boy and Sports Head Girl were conferred upon Gaurav Sharma (XI) and Priyanshi Shukla (XII).

The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem.

An English Art of Handwriting Competition was held in the school for the students of classes III to V on Tuesday, 28 April, 2026.

The aim of the event was to promote neatness, creativity, and proper handwriting skills. Students participated with great enthusiasm and presented beautifully written work. They were judged on neatness, clarity, spacing, and presentation. The competition helped students improve their handwriting and build confidence.

Overall, it was a successful and enjoyable activity.
