MMPS certified as Tobacco Free Educational Institution

A great achievement for the school for having been bestowed with a certificate of Tobacco Free Educational Institution by Govt. of NCT of Delhi, Directorate General of Health Services, District Tobacco Control Cell, North West District. The institution has achieved a perfect score of 100% as per the TOFEI guidelines, which included nine guidelines that ensured that the premises is a Tobacco Free Area, Tobacco Free Education, and No evidence of tobacco products, among others. This certification is a testament to the institution's commitment to promoting a healthy and safe environment for its students and staff.

Pink Color day

PINK COLOUR DAY Colours are the Smile of Nature ….!! Little learners of Grade L.K.G immersed themselves in a world full of colours, i.e. the vibrant shades of PINK COLOUR on 29 November 23’. Pink colour represents compassion, love and nurturing. The corridor was decorated with Pink colour articles for the learners to analyze and inquire. Little ones were able to learn all about PINK COLOUR through various hands on activities and verbal interaction about the pink colour objects which they had brought from home. Pink is the colour of universal love of oneself and others, further it brought a smile, charm and happiness on each little pals face.

Get Together Programme for Retired Officials of MCD

Education plays a significant role in shaping a child's future and the experienced can only relate better therefore a Get Together Programme for retired officers of the Education Department of MCD was conducted on Saturday 25 November 2023. The programme was attended by parents, teachers, and students who were interested in learning about the different patterns of education from the old gems. The retired officers shared reminisces of the twists and turns of l their life after retirement. They exchanged their stories and enjoyed a day of camaraderie and nostalgia. Parents were encouraged to take initiatives to collaborate with schools for the holistic development of their children. All the members appreciated the efforts of the school and presented a trophy to our esteemed Director Sir Shri Somesh Rishi Pathak for his commendable efforts in conducting such programs which develop teamwork competencies such as communication, compromise, and collective reasoning.

‘Nature always wears the colors of the spirit’

 The message about preserving of nature and national heritage through colors was promoted by organizing Smt. Krishna Pathak Memorial Nineteenth Inter-School Painting and Craft Competition in memory of our founder late Smt.Krishna Pathak on Wednesday, 29th November 2023.

Amalgamation of 5497 students from 130 schools including underprivileged children and children with special needs, NGOs and Special Schools across Delhi & NCR at one platform showcased their creativity on Environmental consciousness and nation building with great enthusiasm and exuberance.  The competition commenced with welcome song by the choir group followed by Lamp Lightning Ceremony by esteemed guests Mr. Shadab Alam (Deputy General Manager, Environmental Social Governance PPRDC), Mr. Anshul Gupta (Senior Manager Petrochemical Marketing at Indian Oil Corporation Ltd.), Dr. Amit Kumar Singh (Manager at R&D Uflex Ltd.), Mr Sudheer Khurana (Manager Systems& Communications of ICPE), Ms. Neha Maurya (Project Officer at ICPE) along with Director Sir and Principal Ma’am. The revered guests were warmly welcomed with token of respect by our Director Sir Shri Somesh Rishi Pathak and esteemed Principal Ma’am Mrs. Rooma Pathak. The speech by the Guests on how this painting competition had been successful in adding brightness to dull life and also in spreading the message of creating consciousness about minimizing plastic waste, motivated and inspired all the students.

 

The art work by all the students ensured a commitment and balance between economic growth, preservation of the environment and social well- being through making of Creative artefacts from discarded plastic waste, Graffiti-the wall Art, Collage Making, Slogan Writing ,Mask Making, Origami wonderland, Rangoli Painting. It also showcased diverse array of themes like Atmanirbhar Bharat, Sustainable Realities, Artificial Intelligence, Swachh Bharat, Environmental Consciousness, Culture and Heritage. This not only helped the students to usher from today's society to an environmental friendly society but also led towards the vision of futuristic India.

 

Revered Director Sir and esteemed Principal Ma’am expressed gratitude to the Chief Guests for appreciating and motivating the participants for their brilliant concepts and ideas which were given shape in colours ,sculptors etc. Thus the competition was successfully conducted and was able to fill the entire atmosphere with vibrant colours.

GURUPURAB CELEBRATION

To not only mark the birth anniversary but also connect with the core teachings of Guru Nanak Dev, Gurupurab was celebrated in the school premises on Friday, 24 November 2023.

The celebration commenced with a Special Assembly on ‘delivering the messages and teachings written in the holy book, Guru Granth Sahib’. PowerPoint presentations about the life history and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev were exhibited which enhanced the knowledge of the students. Thereafter, students of Pre-Primary and Primary moved in a procession (Prabhat Feri) in and around the school premises, singing devotional hymns. The divine chants of 'ek Onkar…'also filled the entire atmosphere with spirituality. Students then visited a nearby Gurudwara, bowed down in reverence to seek the blessings of the great Guru and enjoyed the 'Kada Prasad' distributed to them.

Thus, the celebration of Gurupurab inculcated the message of love, compassion and equality among the students.

FIT INDIA WEEK

Physical fitness, achieved through team sports and various fitness platforms is a part and parcel of M.M. Public School.

Sports and physical fitness is woven in the daily curriculum which aims at providing balance to the body and mind of the students.

As such Kinder Garten students enjoyed Fit India Week which started from October 16th till 20th October 23’.

On day 1 children enjoyed Jumping Jack Day(Live Zumba) which was exhilarating and thrilling. The strenuous session was followed by stretching, Zumba training and cool down excersises.

On Day 2 little pals visited the Gym and got the feel of doing exercises once grown up.

Day 3 was Aerobics Day. Youngsters worked out to improve their optimal Health and enjoyed a lot.

Day 4 was What’s on your Plate Day where in children were asked to bring nutrious food from home.

A power point presentation was shown to the kids while children were having their nutritious food which enlightened the minds of little pals what is well - balanced diet, How important nutrients are for better life force energy.

Day 5 was Yoga Day Yoga class was taken by yoga teacher. He taught various physical postures, breathing excercises and meditation to improve overall health.

Fit India Week was highly appreciated by Revered Principal Ma’am Mrs. Rooma Pathak. She shared many benefits of excercising and eating nutritious food with little children which further Boost Academic Performance and cognitive functioning, from mental focus to memory retention and information processing.

An exciting picnic

To break the monotonous routine of the senior students, a picnic to Mozoland was organized on Saturday,November 4th,2023.The excited students  enjoyed the j  numerous  activities like Zip-lining,Rock-climbing,Sky -cycling,wave pool etc .It was an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and a perfect haven for thrill seekers.The enthusiastic students got a perfect opportunity to enjoy with their mentors. After singing and dancing on foot tapping dance numbers,they were served scrumptious lunch which was thoroughly relished by them. It was really a thrilling and fun-filled experience for all.

Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week 2023

M.M.Public School observed Vigilance Awareness Week from 30th October, 2023 to 5th November, 2023 at school campus to encourage the fight against corruption and to create awareness about the role of preventive vigilance in combating corruption and enhancing accountability at various levels.
Students successfully take participation in various activities organized during the week. A special assembly was conducted by school counselor to spread the message and promote transparency, accountability and integrity in public life. Poster making, class discussions, assembly talk, Awareness rally covering the theme were also held by the primary wing. Integrity pledge was also taken by the students and staff of M.M.Public School during the special assembly.
The school whole heartedly joined the movement of creating awareness among the students regarding corruption as social evil.
