The school has been organizing Smt. Krishna Pathak Memorial Inter school Painting and Craft Competitions since 2006 and this year also to pay allegiance to the founders of the school Late Smt. Krishna Pathak and Late Shri Lomesh Rishi Pathak, a colourful platform was provided to the budding artists in Smt. Krishna Pathak Memorial 14th Inter school Painting and Craft Competition on Tuesday 27 November, 2018 in the school premises with great fervor.  

Smt. Pushpa Ratnam (SPE Zone XI) and other distinguished guests - Mr. Ved Prakash (ASI Delhi Traffic Police), Mr. Prem Kumar Amar, Vice President of TRAX and Ms. Deepali Srivastava, Communication Coordinator TRAX graced the occasion and motivated the students. The competition commenced with a welcome song and musical background.  

About 4900 students of 198 schools of Delhi and NCR participated and spread freshness as well as fragrance of positivity in the atmosphere. The children let their imagination run wild and created absolute magic on the canvas. It was a day when creativity exploded on different topics like Child Abuse, Digital India, Say No To Bullying, Cyber Crime etc.

Revered Director Sir, Shri Somesh Rishi Pathak and esteemed Principal Madam Mrs Rooma Pathak appreciated and applauded the participants for their commendable work in presenting vibrant style and techniques in different art forms.

Thus, Smt. Krishna Pathak Memorial 14th Interschool Painting and Craft Competition was a great success where the participant gave vent to their imagination and aesthetic exploration creating magical expression on canvas.

"God has given us two hands - one to receive and the other to give with."

To make the students aware about the values of parents in life, the school organized a visit to Matri Chhaya, an orphanage on 22ndNovember 2018 for the students of class XI (Humanities section). Students spent time with the parents less children and felt their hardships. They distributed fruit juices and sweets among them. It was an emotional experience for the students.

To widen up the knowledge of the students of class-VIII about Malnutrition, Causes and Remedies quiz was organized on 20.11.18. The students divided into 3 teams and the quiz master put the questions. All the teams performed with great zeal and showed keen interest while giving answers. But the team IODINE (Vedic and Adnan of class VIII-A) defeated other team and won the quiz.  Thus, the quiz proved to be quite useful and worthy for the students.

A key part of Kindergarten curriculum, "Show and Tell" is an important part of a child's learning development. To develop effective communication skills and to build their confidence, a "Show and Tell" competition was recently organized at MMPS with LKG and UKG children. Children took center stage and spoke on the topic "BIRDS". Children were dressed up beautifully as Birds and were also holding props to describe about it. They described about the topic with a lot of confidence, facial expressions and proper voice modulation.

Overall, the show was a spectacular learning experience for kids!

An innovative activity on Prepositions was conducted for class-I on 23rd November 2018. The multi-fold objective of the activity was to enable the students to identify and define Prepositions. Students were able to frame sentences by using various Prepositions.

This activity helped in developing critical thinking skills and vocabulary building.

It was a fun filled activity. The children were excited and enjoyed a lot.

The roots of the school become stronger day-by-day when girls show their hidden talent in various fields. Saiba Bajaj of class X, with her outstanding speaking and creative capabilities, got a chance to present her views on an International platform of TERI School of Advanced Studies organised in Thyagaraja Stadium, INA, where she presented her views on sustainable development. She showed the presentation on IMPORTANCE OF WATER IN OUR LIVES.  The powerful thoughts and expressions impressed everyone. The Principal congratulates her on her great achievements and wishes her good luck for future venture.

"Books are man's best friend"

To improve communication and descriptive skills of children, a Show and Tell competition was organised for class-I students on the topic "My Favourite Story Book". The motive behind the competition was to imbibe effective communication, vocabulary building and listening skills among young minds.

The activity helped the learners in emotional and social development. It also helped in building confidence level of students. Many students came up with their ideas about their favourite story book. They were enthusiastic in sharing their views about their story book. To make the competition more effective and stronger children were holding beautiful props. Students participated in a preliminary round and finally were selected from Intra Class through a special judgement criteria.

This competition proved to be effective for students and helped other young learners in getting knowledge about various story books. 

Another Gem was added to the crown of the school when Arpita of class V achieved 1st position and Komal of class X achieved 3rd position in the painting competition for the celebrations of Phool Walon ki Sair-2018 on 11 November 2018 in Aam Bagh Mehrauli. Honourable MLA of Mehrauli Shri Naresh Yadav and SDM of Mehrauli Ms. Mitali Goal and Tehsildar Sh. Alok Man presented the prizes to the children and encouraged them to make the world move colorful with the stroke of their brushes.

"There is no garden as beautiful as childhood"

Children's day was celebrated in our school to pay tribute to the legendary freedom fighter and our first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The theme of the day was "Children you are precious for us. We love you." Children watched a movie on the life of Jawaharlal Nehru. They also made Chacha Nehru's cap and rose brooch. They sang various poems on the theme "Children's Day". They received candies from Principal Ma'am as a token of love.

The children were joyful at the end of the day.
