Students of Art & Club organized poster making competition in which all the students of Art club participated and made poster on the topic- Save Rivers and DE-Addiction these posters will be sent to Anuvrat Bhawan for? 19th Anuvrat Painting Competition?. All the students of Art clubtook participated in it with great enthusiasm. The competition was organized under the guidance of Mrs. Priti Anand (H.O.D of Art & craft). Paintings will be judged by AKHIL BHARTIYA ANUVRAT NAYAS and the result will be declared by November 2014.
Cleanliness is next to Godliness, Keeping this in mind the Eco club & Heritage club of MMPS organized a Cleanliness Drive on 26th July 2014 on the bank of river Yamuna. Students of class VIII-XI participated in the awareness drive of Yamuna river pollution. The event began with the Cleanliness drive near Yamuna bank proceeded by a rally . Pamphlets were distributed by the students regarding do?s & dont?s against the river pollution. Students repeatedly gave message through slogans to keep Yamuna river clean. Some slogans were Polythene ko na karo Yamuna ko saaf karo, Stop polluting Yamuna, Yamuna is not a drain.
Students had an interaction with the people residing near Yamuna and made them aware of the consequences of polluted Yamuna river. They actively participated to clean some spots near Yamuna & they learned a lot of things about why and how we should save our Yamuna river from pollution.
The Readers club of the school organized quiz competition RIVERS OF THE WORLD in the school premises on 25th July, 2014. The students from classes VII participated.
There were 3 teams (NILE, GANGA AND AMAZONE) with two members each. It was a tough competition with variety of questions from Rivers and oceans. It was enjoyed by the students. The quiz master Ayjaz XI cherished the students mind with wonderful questions. Team Nile ( Khushi and Kirti) was the first runner up and the team Ganga (Shubham and Sanjana) was the second runner up . The event was graced with the presence of Academic Incharge and Activity incharge who endorsed the success of the event with her words of appreciation. To inculcate the feeling of leadership, sense of commitment and dedication M. M. Public School organized Investiture Ceremony on 23rd July, 2014. The former Head girl and Head boy handed over their respective flags and badges to their successors. The student?s council comprising of new Head boy, Head girl, Assistant Head boy, Assistant Head girl, Captain, Vice captain and Prefects of four houses pledged their loyalty to the school and also took oath to uphold the values promoted by the alma mater. The new appointees expressed their gratitude towards the Principal and the Staff Members who entrusted them with positions of such responsibility. It was a matter of great pride when the school celebrated the opening ceremony of 20th commonwealth games which is to be held in Scotland in the school premises. An introductory speech was presented by Ayjaz Hussain of XI A and Sahiba Rana of class XII-B. The theme song of Common Wealth Games ignited the spirit of sports and games among the students. The march past from the students of class 6th-9th presented the fundamental value of Unity in Diversity of Common Wealth Games in a unique manner. It proved to be a great celebration of the international event.
World population day was observed on 21st July 2014 to create awareness about population surge and its implications where in Sunny Sharma along with Ishika Bansal & Mehak khurana of class IXA highlighted the expectations of India by year 2050 in terms of population. Message of "Adolescent Pregnancy" not just health issue also, was delivered to all in a successful manner.Thus, it could not have been possible without the able guidance of Ms. Suman Bala (Eco Club Incharge)
To invoke the value of spirituality among the students "Hawan" was organized for class LKG and UKG on 21st April 2014. Students participated with full enthusiasm under the guidance of their class teachers Ms. Alka, Ms Amarjot, Ms. Rinki and Ms. Ishmeet. Students touched the feet of priest after covering their heads with handkerchiefs to get his blessings .The students chanted Gayatri and Maha Mrityunjay mantra whose meaning was well explained by the priest.
Thus, it was all in all an enriching and motivating experience for them.
It was a matter of great honour for the students of science section of class XII to have an interaction with the Head of Medicine Dr. Nityanand Tripathi on July 11 2014.The students Varsha, Simran, Aditya and Sahiba greeted the doctor with bouquet of flowers and Memento. The interaction began with a round of questions like How he handles lots of work pressure?, How he reached to the zenith of his career? He answered smilingly that he handles the pressure with ease and hard work counted a lot in reaching to the top. His answers inspired the students to excel in future. All in all it was a motivational and inspiring interaction

It was a moment of pride when Md. Mohsin Hussain student of M.M. Public School studying in class XI set 4 world records. He set the record for doing most push-ups in one minute. He made record for mini push-ups, knuckle push-ups, one arm push-ups, etc. in 2014 World Record

Interactions help the students to explore new avenues.The students of class 12th Pooja , Shuaba, Rafeek, Manish, Aditya had a golden opportunity to interact with Dr. Suresh Kumar Garg the Principal of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College(DDUC) on 23rd May,2014 at 10:00 am . He was greeted with bouquet and memento which was followed by a series of question answers . The students asked him how to excel in the field of Chemistry to which he answered that interest and passion for the subject is very important . He also told about many institutes and various books to be read to widen the mental horizon. All in all it was a motivating and enriching interaction.

Q1- You have excelled in chemistry not only at M.Sc level but also at P.hd level . Sir, may we know how we as a student can excel in this subject?
Ans1- It all depends on one?s interest for the subject. I was weak in chemistry during my school days but developed interest for chemistry during my higher studies.To excel in any subject one should be clear with all the basic concepts rather than just cramming them.
Q2- What are your hobbies?
Ans- My hobbies are Trekking and Travelling.I love to travel and explore many places but due to my hectic schedule I am not able to give much time to it.
Q3- How you relax yourself inspite of your hectic schedule?
Ans-I physically relax myself by taking a nap while travelling in car and meditation helps me relax mentally.
Q4- What are your views about current scenario of education ?
Ans- Current system of education is better than the earlier one .Earlier it was cramming but now it is conceptual and understanding based. There are many colleges with variation in courses which offers lot of scope for students.
Q5- Four years of graduation programme has been introduced .Do you think it is beneficial for students?
Ans- Every thing has its own pros and cons.The advantages of Four year graduation programme are one can leave the course after two years and have diploma as well. After three years the student can leave and have degree as well.The four year programme will help him to have a honours degree and also make him eligible to study abroad.
Q6- What do think to be your greatest accomplishment?
Ans- Teaching is my greatest accomplishment. It is my passion and nothing can equal it.
Q7- Sir, What were your feelings when you were awarded with the Ambassador for peace award by the Universal Peace Federation?
Ans- I felt extremely happy and good about it.
Q8- Sir, what made you specialize in Inorganic Chemistry ?
Ans- I initially hated Chemistry because it was not understanding but cramming based. During higher studies my teacher helped me to develop interest in the subject. I started liking organic chemistry but due to lots of natural elements difficult to cope up with the subject so, I decided to switch to inorganic chemistry and thus specialized in the subject.
