It was a moment of immense pleasure when our Under-17 Hockey team achieved III position in Hockey Zonal Tournament held on 08 August 2016 at GBSSS NO.1,keshav Puram.

MMPS organized Lawn Tennis Zonal Tournament from 1st to 4thAugust 2016.The school playground was filled with great zeal , excitement and frolicsome atmosphere. It was the moment of great honour and pride when the boys of MMPS scored first and second position in senior and junior category respectively but the girls also gave praise worthy performance by securing second position in senior category. Almost 20 schools from zone XI participated in the event. The chief guest SPE,Mrs.Pushpa Ratnam; Sports Secretary Boys, Mr. Y .D. Sharma; Sports Secretary Girls, Mrs. Rajesh along with Mrs. Rooma Pathak ,the Principal of school inaugurated the tournament. Mrs.Rooma Pathak, the Principal welcomed the esteemed gathering and also emphasised on the importance of sports. The whole event was held under the supervision of Mr.V.S.Rana and Lawn tennis coach Mr. Arif Khan. All in all it was an overjoyous moment for the school and all participants.

Students of Art & Craft Club organized poster making competition in which all the students of Art & Craft Club participated and made poster on the topic - Goodwill and De-addiction these posters will be sent to Anuvrat Bhawan for 21st Anuvrat Painting Competition. All the students of Art & Craft Club took participated in it with great enthusiasm. The competition was organized under the guidance of Mrs. Priti Anand (H.O.D of Art & Craft). Painting will be judged by AKHIL BHARTIYA ANUVRAT NAYAS and the result will be declared by December 2016.
To invoke the value of spirituality among the students Hawan was organized for all the sections of Class VI on 4th August 2016. The students participated with full enthusiasm under the guidance of their class teachers Ms. Vandana, Ms. Parul Madan, Ms. Bhawna and Ms. Rashmi. Students took the blessings and chanted Gayatri and Maha Mrityunjay Mantra whose meaning was explained by the priest.
Thus all in all it was fruitful in imparting religious sentiments in them.
To save our mother earth from becoming a dumping ground and to create awareness among the students to keep Earth clean and free from pollution a Paragraph Writing Competition was conducted by Swacchh Ambassador Committee SAC Club on 8th July 2016. The students participated in the competition whole heartedly. Their knowledge was praiseworthy. They not only pin pointed the problems thatour world is facingbecause of huge amount of waste produced everydaybut also focused on the solutions, to keep our surroundings. The student?s idea to keep a healthy environment was commendable.

MMPS participated in event "Run for Rio" (a 5km long marathon) organized by Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports (Govt. of India) on 31st July 2016. 20 students of our school along with Principal, Mrs. Rooma Pathak and teachers ran to show their support for 2016 Rio Olympics and wished the Indian contingent which is all set to leave for Brazil. The enthusiastic students ran with zeal and vigour to show their support and solidarity which is associated with the Olympic game. This event was coordinated by Mr. V.S. Rana. The marathon was flagged off by Hon'ble Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi from Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium and encouraged students to come up with sportsman spirit and participate in sports as well. He also ensures to provide facilities and resources for better sports infrastructure.
All in all it was a memorable day, students enjoyed a lot and came back with motivation to take at least one sport and show their best in that.
