Show And Tell About Your Body Parts activity for Pre-primary classes

Students learn better by play way method so a ?Show And Tell About Your Body Parts? activity was done in Pre-Primary classes on 22nd July 2016. Students pointed their respective body parts as said by the teacher and also explain the working of that body parts. Flash cards were design for the activity as well. It?s joy watching such tiny tots expressing themselves and enjoying the activity along with learning.

Project On How To Reduce Waste And Its Health Hazards

A project by health and hygiene club students was prepared on the topic how to reduce waste and its health hazards?. The wonderful projects highlighted the ways to reduce waste and its health hazards.

 Over 1.8 billion tonnes of waste is generated every year in India. This equals to 3.5 tonnes per person. This waste mainly made up of waste coming from households, commercial activities  eg- shops, restaurants, hospitals etc. ) Industry  (pharmaceuticals companies , cloth manufacturers, agriculture, construction and demolition, mining and quarrying activities for the generation of energy. With such vast quantities of waste being produced , it is of vital importance that is managed in such a way that it does not cause any harm to either human health or the environment.

Drawing Butterfly Activity in Pre-primary class

"Butterfly- an insect loved by all specially children."

Today i.e. 15th July 2016 this wonderful insect was introduced to Pre-primary students, and then instructions on how to draw a butterfly was given following these students draw beautiful butterflies in their drawing files according to the description given by the teacher. The classes expelled out with numerous colors of butterflies.

Students enjoyed drawing butterfly and they themselves want to fly in the sky as a butterfly.

Dog Race for Pre-primary students

After beating heat, it's high time to treat. Tiny tots enjoyed the Dog Race conducted in the ground for pre-primary students.

Children were happy to wear head-gears of dog's ears and the stout. All were looking and it was an enjoyment watching the little pets on the grounds, running and defeating each other.

Winners were well appreciated and motivated for keeping sport spirit.

PowerPoint presentation on Best out of Waste by Computer Club

"Making sense out of things that have absolutely no sense."

Students of computer club did research work on Best out of Waste for one week by exploring Internet, Newspapers, Magazine and talking to Teachers, Parents and other Experts. Along with this they were taught the technicalities in Power point and tips were given on how they can make an appealing and a wonderful presentation.

With all these they prepared PowerPoint presentations for one week and finally presented their presentation on 15th July 2016 to other students, teachers, Activity In-charge and Academic In-charge. Their work was well appreciated by all.

Though the aim of the activity was not assessment but learning, but to motivate the efforts of students and to keep spirit high their work was evaluated and result is as follows :

In Primary category :Sohini and Nitin got Ist position, Dhruv And Ayushi got II position, Moksh and Bhuvi got III position.

In Middle category : Jatin and Vivek got Ist position, Reet and Kartikey got II position, Abid and Amit got III position

In Senior category : Rishi and Bhavik got Ist position, Ankit and Karan got IInd position, Sayida and Manika got IIIrd position

SECOND SERIES OF AVISHKAR QUIZ 2016

Avishkar Quiz is being conducted for the second time; it encourages and engages students in their scientific pursuits. It also provides conducive environment to promote creativity and innovative spirit among school children in the area of science. A written quiz was conducted on Thursday the 14 July 2016 in the school. The competition was assessed on the basis of the general knowledge of Maths, Science and Technology. The basic knowledge about the atmosphere was also tested through the questionnaire. It was held in three categories:- Primary (I-V), Middle (VI-VIII), Secondary (IX-XII)

 The best two students were selected in each category on merit basis after the assessment of the questionnaire based on their general knowledge inMaths, science and Technology. The winners of second series of Avishkar Quiz 2016 at school level are:-

Flame-less cooking by class III

Students of class III participated enthusiastically in flameless cooking activity in Home Science lab.

They prepared American Salad and learnt the importance of ingredients used in it. Students dressed up as little chef by wearing aprons and chef caps. They learnt the way of presenting their dish in a presentable manner. It was overall a memorable experience for them.
