SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON HEALTHY EATING

To develop the habit of healthy living, a special assembly was conducted on the theme “EAT HEALTHY” by the little champs of grade 2. The kids had spoken on the demerits of junk food and the merits of healthy food. They spread the message of balanced diet and all the nutrients that we get from food.

Yellow Color Day celebration

With an objective to recapitulate and reinforce the effects of yellow colour Grade Pre School celebrated “Yellow Colour day” on 12th July,19’.

A day dedicated to the yellow colour was marked with children outfitted in different hues and tints of yellow. Children were not only beautifully dressed in their preferred yellow dresses but also sang melodies on yellow colour and also danced with joy and vigour in their respective classes to make it a complete “Yellow Day”!

Class activities like finger printing in banana, tearing pasting in Sunflower etc. were taken up by the teachers. The teachers were beaming with pride when the confident little commentators described the yellow objects with expressiveness, flair and ease.

The motive of celebrating Yellow colour day was to make the children aware of yellow colour, its significance and to develop fine motor skills among the students. They spent the day with utmost enjoyment.

PACK A BAG RACE

When many children learn and play the games in the same way or at the same pace, children develop their motor and physical development in certain predictable way.

Little children of U.K.G class enjoyed playing pack a bag race and proved themself to be skilled and staggering player.

Activity on Wild Animals

My performance activity on the theme “WILD ANIMALS” was conducted for the students of U.K.G on 11th July 19’. Little pals spoke about their favorite wild animals. They were beautifully dressed up according to their topic and were holding beautiful prop too. All the students spoke with great confidence and enthusiasm as if they have always been speaking on stage and there was nothing called stage fear.

A healthy diet helps pave the way to a healthy life. As such an informative special message assembly on ‘EAT HEALTHY’ was organized for the pals of Pre-Primary on Monday 15th July 2019. Children were made aware with Dietary guidelines like eat healthy food, Keep fat to a minimum, opt physical regime to keep your body fit, Eat lots of fiber, Eat food rich in Calcium and Iron. Include nutritious food, vitamins and minerals in your diet. Children were taught to have minimum junk food like bread, pasta, maggi, chips, pepsi etc.

1.Children were taught to have a healthy start to school by having a fruit and a glass of milk.

2. Important take home message was inculcated amongst the mind of children i.e., Eat Healthy and Stay Healthy

Felicitation of Toppers of Commerce Olympiad

International Commerce Olympiad is organized every year by Commerce Teachers’ Foundation which not only recognizes the efforts of students but also appreciates the hard work done by the commerce fraternity.

One more feather added to the glory of the school when Simran Batra of the school received an award for her exemplary performance in Commerce Olympiad along with her teacher Mrs. Santosh Batra on 30th June,2019 at India International Centre, Lodhi Estate, Delhi. The chief guest was Prof. R.K. Singh, Head and Dean of Commerce Department of Delhi University. He congratulated all the CBSE toppers and best performers of Commerce Olympiad and wished them for their future endeavors.

Participation in International Yoga Day Celebration

Yash Malhan of class X and Shubham Kumar of class IX are the participants in NCC Camp organized at NCC Bhawan, Sector-19, Rohini from 12th June 2019 to 21st June 2019 where they actively participated in various activities like Shooting, Marching and Drill activities.

On the occasion of the International Yoga Day 2019, 2DBN Battalion celebrated Yoga Day in NCC Bhawan. Knowledge about Yoga like benefits and history of Yoga in India was given by the expert Yogacharyas and they performed different asanas along with the students.

All in all, it was a successful day where mind and body got rejuvenated.
