Participation in 24th FIBA ASIA BASKETBALL

It was a moment of pride when Vishal Kumar Gupta and Rachit of class XI were selected to represent the Indian U18 Men's Basketball team at the 24th FIBA ASIA U18 Championship to be held at TEHRAM, IRAN from 22nd to 31st July 2016

Not only this our these two bright stars were also nominated as probable to attend the National Coaching camp of the Indian Senior Men's Basketball Team to be held at NITTE University-UDUPI, Karnataka from 15th August to 7 September, 2016 in preparation for the FIBA Asia challenge to be held at Tehram, Iran from 9th to 18th  September, 2016. 

Hand Ball Zonal Competition

It was a moment of immense pleasure when following students of our school achieved different positions in Hand ball Zonal Tournament held on 19th to 20thAugust, 2016 at Sarvodhya Vidayala FU-Block, Pitampura, Delhi.

In SENIOR  GIRLS category our team got 1st position.

RAKSHA BANDHAN CELEBRATION

Rakhi, the festival of brothers and sisters, was celebrated in the school on 17th August 2016 by the students of classes LKG and UKG. 

Girls tied Rakhi on boys' wrist and in return boys gave gifts to girls. They learned how this festival celebrates the bond of love between brother and sister when sister ties Rakhi on brother?s wrist and in return brother promises to protect sister and look after her well being for the rest of her life. Also he gives her a token of love.

Rakhi making competition was also held the same day. Children came out with their beautiful and creative Rakhies. Winners will be awarded soon.

All in all it was a day filled with fun and frolic.

FOLK ART ACTIVITY

Madhubani Art activity was organized by Art and Craft Club on 17th Aug 2016. Students of Class VI participated and filled the whole atmosphere with the vibrant colors. These young artists made Madhubani paintings with great enthusiasm. During this activity student has learnt a lot about the Folk Art of India. This activity was successfully organized under the guidance of Mrs. Priti Anand (HOD of Art and Craft)

Van Mahotsav and World Nature Conservation Day

To initiate the importance of nature and its conservation Van Mahotsav day was celebrated in the special assembly on 12th August 2016. A skit by students of eco club on vanmahotsav created awareness about the need to preserve environment.

Priyanka of class X-B also gave a speech on World Nature Conservation Day. All in all it was a motivational celebration.

Poster making competition by SAC

To create awareness and enhance the creativity of the students Poster Making Competition on the topic ?SAVE EARTH? was organized by SAC (Swachhta Ambassador Committee) for the students of class I to X during the month of May, 2016. Not only the students participated with great enthusiasm but also showed their creativity in a very innovative way. The following students secured I, II and III rank in the competition.

INVESTITURE CEREMONY

To inculcate the values of leadership, sense of commitment and dedication M.M. Public School organized Investiture ceremony on 12th August 2016. The former Head girl and Head boy handed over the respected batches to their successors. The student?s council comprising of new Head boy, Head girl, Assistant Head boy, Assistant Head girl, Captain and Prefects of four houses pledged their loyalty to the school and also took the oath to uphold the values promoted by the Alma Mater. The new appointees expressed their gratitude towards the principal and the staff members who entrusted them with positions of such responsibility. The principal, Mrs. Rooma Pathak expressed her confidence in the ability of newly appointed leaders to take the school to greater heights. The new appointed council members, who took oath in Investiture ceremony on 12th August 2016, are:-

Independence Day Celebration

To instill a feeling of patriotism among students,  70th Independence Day was celebrated on 12th of August , 2016.The Students from 6th to 10th   performed with great zeal and enthusiasm .They  displayed their love for their motherland through skits and patriotic songs. It was then followed by the Prize Distribution Ceremony where the students were rewarded for their best performance in Yoga, NASA and Cambridge. They received medals and certificates from respected Principal Madam Mrs. Rooma Pathak .

The event was filled with the fervor of patriotism.

TEEJ AND FRIENDSHIP DAY CELEBRATION

A friend share all up?s and down?s in life. Friendship is a band which ties two or more souls together. On 5thAugust? 2016 Teej and Friendship day was celebrated by tiny tots of MMPS.

Children had celebrated friendship day with messages, quotes, and friendship bands and expressed their feelings to their dear most friend. Beautiful mehndi designs were drawn on girl?s hands by the teachers on account of Teej celebration.

ENGLISH EXTEMPORE COMPETITION AT ZONAL LEVEL

To enhance the thinking ability and speaking skills of the students, extempore competition at the Zonal Level was organized and held in our school on 26th July 2016. About 30-40 schools of North Delhi participated in the competition. 

All the students were able to express themselves on the topic given to them. The judges from the North Delhi Zone gave the verdict and declared the result. All in all it was highly enriching and motivating for the students.
