Show and tell- Shapes & colours

Understanding color and shape is a tool for learning many skills in all curriculum areas, from math and science to language and reading.

An activity was organized on September 22nd, 2017 based on shapes and colours to enhance the knowledge of tiny tots. Students learnt about colors so that they can make distinctions among things they see. They enjoyed learning about shapes and were able to make a connection between familiar objects and their shapes.

 

Activity of Fuel conservation by Art and Craft club

Art and Craft Club organized an activity on the topic Fuel Conservation in the school premises on 12th September 2017. All the club students participated and filled the whole atmosphere with the vibrant colors. These Young Artists made posters showing how small steps of fuel conservation can make a big change with great enthusiasm. During this activity student has learnt a lot about the Fuel Conservation and their understanding was clearly shown in the posters. The activity was successfully organized under the guidance of Art and Craft club incharge and was well appreciated by Principal madam.

Energy Conservation activity by Art & Craft Club

Art and Craft Club organized a Poster making activity on the topic- Energy Conservation in the school premises on 25th August 2016. All the club students participated and filled the whole atmosphere with the vibrant colors. These Young Artists made poster on ?Home and Office place, saving energy gives solace, Get friendly with Energy star, Be Polite, Turn off the light, Switch off light when outside is bright and Energy saving Mission, Make it a passion with great enthusiasm. During this activity student has learnt a lot about the Energy conservation and their understanding was clearly shown in the posters. The activity was successfully organized under the guidance of Mrs Priti Anand (HOD of Art and Craft) and was motivated and appreciated by Principal mam.

Lecture on Possibility of Extra Terrestrial Life in the Solar System

It was a great opportunity for the students of M.M.P.S to visit and attend the lecture on Possibility of Extra Terrestrial Life in the Solar System at American Centre, New Delhi on 24th August 2017 by Dr. Throop, Senior Scientist with the Planetary Science Institute, USA.

The event was attended by Mrs. Jyoti Kaur (TGT Science) along with Sanket Barman of class XI. The lecture answered many queries related to possibility of life in space. The event was really motivating and will help the students to pursue science as their career.

REACHING ZENITH WITH COLOURS

A prize distribution ceremony was organized on 19th September 2017, on 23rd World Ozone day at Stein auditorium, convention Centre, India Habitat Centre, Lodi road, New Delhi. On 30th August 2017 the Art & Craft club organized different activity on ?The Preservation of the Ozone layer. Students participated enthusiastically in the activities and out of them, few posters were sent to the Environment office. About 13 Thousand schools comprising about 28 lakh students sent their entries. Piyush Gupta of class VIII brought laurels to the school by achieving cash prize, a memento and a certificate of honor by the chief guest ? Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Hon?ble Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate change, Government of India. Other important dignitaries Mr. Gyanesh Bharti, Joint Secretary, MoEF & CC , Mr. Gilbert M. bankobeza, chief, legal affairs and compliance, secretariat for the Vienna convention, Mr. Yuri Afanasiev. UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative in India, Mr. Atul Bagai, Senior regional network coordinator, Compliance Assistance Programme, UN Environment, Bangkok,  Dr. Ajay Mathur, Director General, The Energy and Resources Institute, Mr, Anil Kumar Jain, Additional Secretary, MoEF & CC were present there to make the moment memorable.

English calligraphy activity for Mont students

Calligraphy is an art that just about anyone can do it simply means writing beautifully. 

Keeping this aim in mind and to encourage students to write neatly, a Calligraphy competition was organized on September 14, 2017 in pre-primary classes. Students learned to write capital A to Z and Small Cursive a to z in calligraphy format and how to present the content in proper manner.

Grandparents Day Celebration by Mont students

Grandparents play an imperative role in the life of every child. They are the child?s support and their best friend. Grandparents pamper the kids more than the parents themselves and leave a lasting impression in their life. So to honour them, tiny tots of MMPS celebrated grandparent?s day on September 13, 2017 by making beautiful greeting cards for their grandparents. Kids were told to dress up like their grandparents, which they proudly carry and act like their grandparents too. Teachers also narrated stories related to the importance of Grandparents in their life.

Whole day was spent with lot of activities and not only students but teachers too tool home the everlasting experiences. 

Days of the Week activity for Mont students

Teaching kids the days of the week doesn't need to be a huge event. It's about creating a daily rhythm, especially at school and home.  So to enhance the knowledge of the kids regarding this concept, a show and tell activity has been organized in the pre-primary classes on September 01, 2017. In this activity students recited a rhyme related to the Days of a Week.

Achievement in Basket Ball Zonal Tournament

Our Basket Ball team gave spectacular performance at basket ball zonal tournament held at Bal Bharti public school Pitampura from 22nd  to 24th August 2017 and bagged following positions:-

It was a moment of immense pleasure when following students of our school achieved different positions in Hand ball Zonal Tournament held from 28th to 30th August, 2017 at Sarvodhya Vidayala FU-Block, Pitampura, Delhi.
