Presentation on "Swachchta Issues and ways to dispose Garbage in India" by ICT Club

Swachchta is the issue of the day. Due to large population and people?s ignorance this has become a serious issue and is deteriorating not only looks of our country but also is becoming cause of various diseases.

To make students aware of the this issue an activity was organized by ICT club where students learnt the prevailing issues and also find out the ways in which garbage to be disposed in order to keep our surrounding clean and green.

As students returned from summer vacations on 10th July this issue was discussed with them in ICT club and they were encouraged to search more on net and put in their findings and views in a presentation.

Then on 14th July 2017 students shared their work with other students and gave wonderful presentations in presence of Activity incharge and our revered Principal Madam. Principal Madam appreciated students for their efforts and encouraged them to implement same in their daily lives.

Position at Judo Zonal Competition

It was a moment of great pride for our school when our students KAJAL and RIDHIMA bagged 3rd position in Judo zonal competition held at DAV PUSHPANJALI on 11th & 12th July 2017.

Day 3 of Fable Week celebration for Primary and Pre-Primary

In the context of FABLE WEEK in the school, an activity was organized related to SPOT THE DIFFERENCE of the story BELLING THE CAT for the class II -B students on July 26, 2017. Students spotted the difference in two pictures related to the story and they mark it with different colours. Through this students showed their intellectual ability artistic skills.

Students of II-C made collage on the Fable Belling the Cat. The students enjoyed making the collage and they were very excited. Overall it was a learning experience for the students.

The students of class III-A conducted STORY NARRATION on 26th July 2017 on the moral of the Fable THE PIGEON AND THE RAT. The students looked quite enthusiastic about it. Therefore the narration held was fruitful and the students also learnt the moral lesson of this fable.

The students of class III-B conducted Slogan Writing Competition on 26 July 2017 on the moral of the Fable  THE PIGEON AND THE RAT . The students looked quite enthusiastic about the competition and they showed their creativity in different yet unique ways. Therefore the competition held was fruitful and the students also learnt the moral lesson of this fable and pledged to follow regularly.

Puppet Making activity was held for the students of class IV. The students participated wholeheartedly and enjoyed colouring the different characters of the fable Birbal and the Goat Weight. They made puppets by cutting and pasting the coloured sheet on a stick. Not only had this they also showed their artistic talent by delivering the dialogues of the character had they made. All in all the activity turned out to be a artistic and creative experience for the students.

The story writing activity was held for the students of Class V A for the Fable The Ant and the Grasshopper where students showed their creativity in an innovative manner. Thereafter, they learnt that hard work is important in life.

The students of class-V B has presented the fable The Ant and the Grasshopper by sequencing the story on coloured sheets. Students showed their creativity in the lap of Mother Nature. Students used cutouts of the characters to enhance their creative work.

In class L.K.G-A students have prepared a face mask of bear and coloured it. Class L.K.G-B students have made a jigsaw puzzle related to the story. Class U.K.G-A students have made a stick puppet of bear. Class U.K.G-B students have done the thumb printing in cap.

What a tiring day ,but an enjoyable one !!

Day 2 of Fable Week celebration for Primary and Pre-Primary

Students of class I have done clay moulding activity on July 25, 2017 during Fable Week. Students enjoyed making grapes with different colours of clay. They were able to relate the grapes with their story The Fox and the Grapes. This activity helped them to develop their fine motor skills and creativity. They were very happy and filled with enthusiasm while doing this activity.

Students of class II-A did Colouring of the characters of the story BELLING THE CAT on July 25, 2017. Students were given the different characters of the story to colour. Students not only participated earnestly in the activity but also showed the great art of their creative minds. Thus, this activity inspired the students to enhance their artistic skills and work creatively.

Fable Week celebration for Primary and Pre-Primary

Remembering the way our grandparents teach us values by telling us fables. To continue the trend and making students enjoy and learn from fable a Fable Week has started in the school from 24th July 2017.

On the day 1 of the week long celebration the students of classes I to V were shown fables in their respective classes on the smart boards.

The fables taken by each class is as follows-

Class 1- The fox and the grapes

Class 2- Belling the cat

Class 3 -The pigeon and the rat

Class 4 - Akbar and Birbal

Class 5- The fox and the grasshopper

LAWN TENNIS ZONAL TOURNAMENT

LAWN TENNIS ZONAL TOURNAMENT

MMPS organized Lawn Tennis Zonal Tournament from 13th to 15th July 2017. The school playground was filled with great zeal, excitement and frolic some atmosphere. It was the moment of great honour and pride when the boys of MMPS scored first and second position in senior and junior category respectively but the girls also gave praise worthy performance by securing second position in senior category.  Almost 20 schools from zone XI participated in the event. The chief guest SPE, Mrs. Pushpa Ratnam; Sports Secretary Boys, Mr. Y .D. Sharma; Sports Secretary Girls, Mrs. Rajesh along with Mrs. Rooma Pathak, the Principal of school inaugurated the tournament. Mrs. Rooma Pathak, our revered Principal welcomed the esteemed gathering and also emphasized on the importance of sports. The whole event was held under the supervision of Mr. V.S. Rana and Lawn tennis coach   Mr. Arif Khan. All in all it was an over joyous moment for the school and all participants.

Special Assembly

Special Assembly

A savage is not the one who lies in the forest but the one who destroys it.

Keeping this thought in mind, the school conducted a special assembly about Save Forest, Save Tigers on July 20 2017 in the school campus.

Mesmerizing musical performance, motivating speech & splendid act by Drama Club not only made the event colourful but also delivered the message to preserve our natural resources.

All in all, the event turned out to be very motivating & encouraging.

Rally on Save Tiger by Eco and Heritage Club

To spread awareness about Save Tiger a rally on 17th July 2017 was organized by the students of ECO CLUB and HERITAGE CLUB near the school and District Park of Pitampura. The students prepared banners with quotations and Pamphlets were also distributed.The students met old age people in District Park who not only appreciated the initiative taken by the school but also handed a bouquet of flower to teachers and students. On the whole the rally was very much motivative and informative for the students and people around.

SAVE TIGERS

Statistical Analysis disseminating message Save the Tigers by Maths & Science Club

PROJECT TIGER is a wildlife conservation movement initiated in India in 1972 to protect tigers. It is our national animal which was going to be endangered.

To create awareness among students of Science Club, a PowerPoint presentation was shown on 17 July 2017 on the topic SAVE TIGER. It helped them to learn a lot about the ways to know about the conditions of tiger in all over world.

On the same day students of Maths Club also were sensitized about the decreasing population of the tigers. The activity included the slides on the population of tigers in different countries, why they are being hunt or other reasons for decline in their numbers. Students were also told about the project SAVE TIGERS started by the governments of different countries. The presentation was done with the help of statistical analysis tools like pie chart and graphs to make it simpler for the students. The activity concluded with the slide which showed rise in the numbers of tigers as the effect of project SAVE THE TIGERS.

Principal Madam appreciated the presentation and had a motivational interaction with students.

It was an honour for the school when following students of achieved positions in Wrestling Zonal Competition held at S.V KAILASH ENCLAVE on 15th July 2017. Result was as follows :

ADITYACHOUBEY (96 KG) of class XI got 1st Position.

KARTIK (105 KG) of class XI got 2nd Position.
