Hindi Poem Recitation by Pre-primary students

Reading through books is not only medium of learning but fun filled activities and competitions enhance the learning process. Keeping this in mind a Hindi Recitation competition was organized for the pre-primary classes on October 26 and 27, 2017.

These kinds of activities help the child to develop confidence, improve vocabulary and also help the students to get rid of stage fear. Students performed different rhymes along with the actions and by using props as well.

Cleanliness Drive by SAC Club

To instill the habit of maintaining neat and clean surroundings, Cleanliness Drive was organized by the educators SAC Club for the students of class IX-A in Lok Vihar Park, Rohit Kunj on 25th October 2017.

They guided the residents of the society to maintain cleanliness to control the harmful diseases. Students were also guided about the importance of cleanliness of environment.

All in all the Drive proved to be very informative and encouraging for the students as it inspired them to maintain cleanliness not only in their home but also in the public places. 

Spellathon by English club

To strengthen the power of vocabulary in English Language, an activity of Spellathon was conducted for the students of class VI to XI on Wednesday 25th October 2017. Most of them were well prepared and scored good marks .The activity was highly beneficial in improving the spellings of difficult words. All in all it was helpful for the students to enrich their linguistic skills.

Achievement in CBSE Cluster XX Basket Ball Tournament

It was a moment of immense pleasure when our senior boys Basket Ball team achieved 1st position in Under-19 Senior Boys category in CBSE Cluster XX Basket Ball Tournament held from 7th October 2017 to 18th October 2017 at S.D. Public school Punjabi bagh.

Diwali Celebration by Pre-primary students

The celebration of Diwali, The festival of lights came alive in pre-primary sections on October 17, 2017 when the whole school wore a festive look with Diyas and lanterns adorning the corridors and the assembly hall in bright colours. The rangoli done by students the previous day added the perfect setting to the festivity. The Principal Mam lit the lamp to begin the festive mood on the auspicious occasion and it was fun and frolic the whole day.

Celebration Of Paryatan Parv

To engender the interest of students in tourism and to acquaint them about its benefits, various activities were conducted on Monday 16 October 2017 to commemorate the Prayatan Parv in the school premises. Students of class VIII- XII participated in the activity based on Debate on the topic Role of Tourism in the Mutual Understanding and Social Harmony. The arguments put forward by Elina and Shruti Garg of class XI were praise worthy. The debate was lively and informative as the students gave real life examples. An Essay Writing activity was also organized on the same day on the topic Tourism brings social and economic Prosperity. Students of class X and XI showcased their latent talents through their creative writing skills. Out of all the students, Rishi and Harshita of class X gave their best performance with great zeal and vigour. All in all the activities were highly knowledgeable for the students as it cultivated in them knowledge about tradition and culture of different states of India.

Anti- crackers rally

To aware the children and people not only about the harmful effects of burning crackers but also motivate them not to burn crackers on Diwali a  rally was organized by Eco-Club on 17 October 2017 about Say No to Crackers.The Students of class VIII participated in this activity very enthusiastically and enlightened the people that burning of crackers emits lots of poisonous gases like carbon dioxide, methane etc. which causes health problems like cancer, irritation in eyes etc.

The students made posters to create awareness among people residing near school. They also took pledge not to burst crackers and save environment. Thus, the rally turned out to be quite fruitful and worthy. 

Prize in Poster making competition organized by AIIMS

It was a matter of immense pride and glory when Souham Vasistha of class VI and Manvi Bal of class VII received consolation prize and gift hamper on 13th October 2017 in the poster making competition organized by All India Institute of Medical Science on the occasion of celebration of 32nd Eye Donation fortnight held on 5th September 2017. Students of various schools in and around Delhi participated in large numbers. Our students were motivated by the cause and brought with them not only the learning but also the never forgettable experiences.

Slogan writing activity by Eco Club

To aware and instill about  the harmful effects of crackers a slogan writing competition was conducted on the topic PLANT A TREE, NOT BURST A CRACKER on 10th October 2017 for the students of class VIII. Students wrote inspiring slogans about harmful effects of crackers and decided to celebrate Eco friendly Diwali. Thus, the competition was very informative and encouraging for students to save environment from the pollution of crackers.

Painting activity on Anti Fire Crackers by Art & Craft club

To create awareness among the students about the consequences of pollution emanating from bursting of crackers Art & Craft club organized a painting activity on the topic of Anti fire crackers on 9th October 2017 in the school premises. Students in large number participated enthusiastically.  After completion of the activity the beautiful and colorful paintings made by students were displayed in the corridors of the school to spread awareness about celebrating Diwali festival without crackers.
