Nutrition Fete: Poshan Maah Activity

‘Good nutrition is one of the best keys to a healthy life.’

Every year September month is celebrated as Poshan Maah, an initiative by the Ministry of Women and Child Development. To sensitize students regarding nutrition in their formative years, the Nutrition Fair was organised for the Primary Graders on Thursday, September 15, 2022, in school premises. They were given a menu of healthy food for their lunchtime which they relished altogether while sharing and munching.  The benefits of millets in diet were narrated to students. The negative impact of junk food on our health was thoroughly explained and guided by all class teachers. The celebration had been so fruitful when they expressed how important it is to eat a healthy diet.

'Health is wealth’

To maintain a healthy life, our MMPIANS were encouraged to participate in different activities suggested by CBSE via circular no. 95/2022 for celebrating Poshan Maah.

Our young scholars of Primary and Middle school were administered the pledge on the 12th of September to keep themselves well-nourished and spread the same message to their friends and family.

The children are future citizens of India, their balanced nutrition plays a vital role in complete growth & development. Students were appropriately guided by the teachers about healthy food versus junk food. They were encouraged to eat healthy food to attain good health and long life. Thus, the Students showed their keen interest in it and enjoyed the session.

School is proud of our student Parth of class 6th who grabbed the Gold Medal in Taekwondo Zonal Competition under the weight category 35-40 kg held at Govt. Co-ed. SV. Rampura from 28th to 29th September 2022 and congratulates him on his success.

It is a matter of great pride that Mohit Raj of Class XII and Shivani of Class XI bagged the second position for ‘Flowers of Friendship’ in the grand event of ‘Together for Sustainable Future’ held at Mount Abu School, Rohini, Delhi on the occasion of 70th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Diplomatic Relations between Japan and India along with the 7th Anniversary of United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

The theme of the event was Ikebana depicting the Indo-Japanese relationship. The flower arrangement made by the students represented Japanese art which focussed on the sustainable future as per the SDGs provided by the United Nations mesmerized the judges. The students were awarded certificates during the Prize Distribution Ceremony at Japan Foundation, New Delhi on Friday, 30th September 2022.

Revered Principal Madam Ms. Rooma Pathak congratulated the students and encouraged them to keep spreading the essence of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

It was a matter of immense pleasure when Jaya Jha of Class VI reached to semi-finalist position in the Poster Making Competition conducted by the National Academy of Direct Taxes (NADT) in association with Salwan Education Trust under DESH AUR HUM.

The certificate was received during the Felicitation Ceremony held at Kedarnath Auditorium, Minto Road, New Delhi. The Chief Guest, Sh. Rajat Bansal, IRS, Pr. Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (CCA) Delhi congratulated all the winners and participants in showing their love and passion towards their nation by presenting valuable thoughts reflected in their work and being a part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, an initiative by Govt. of India.

Ms. Rooma Pathak, the Principal of MMPS congratulated the child and wished her good luck in her future endeavors.

Powerful expressions on the accomplishment of Sustainable Development Goals by honorable Principal Ma’am Mrs. Rooma Pathak which illustrated projects on Gender Sensitivity, Eco Club activities for a better environment, setting up of Vaccination Camps in school premises, Donation Camps and participation in Events led by Delhi Govt. and Niti Ayog for skill development were acknowledged by The Times of India by publishing it in their esteemed newspaper on 27 September 2022.

Such endeavors which fulfill the SDG goals are commendable and notable. The school fraternity congratulates honourable Principal Ma’am Mrs. Rooma Pathak under whose able guidance and leadership the school aims to touch stars no matter how far.

दिनांक 26 सितंबर 2022 को एम.एम. पब्लिक स्कूल के प्रांगण में आजादी का अमृत महोत्सव एवं हिंदी पखवाड़ा कार्यक्रम के आयोजन के अंतर्गत भव्य कवि सम्मेलन का आयोजन किया गया| कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता विद्यालय की प्रधानाचार्या श्रीमती रुमा पाठक एवं प्रबंधक श्री सोमेश ऋषि पाठक ने की| कार्यक्रम का आरंभ सम्मानित अतिथियों और कवि समाज के हाथों दीप प्रज्वलन के साथ हुआ| इस कार्यक्रम के मुख्य अतिथि जाने-माने सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता श्रीमान दिनेश अग्रवाल व संयोजक विशिष्ट अतिथि के रूप में श्रीमान योगेश पंत थे| कवियों की उपस्थिति की दृष्टि से यह एक समृद्ध मंच रहा |इसमें ओज रस के कवि श्री विनय शुक्ल 'विनम्र', पत्रकार व कवि श्री के.डी. पाठक, श्रृंगार रस की कवयित्री श्रीमती मंजू शाक्य एवं महफिल की रौनक रहे हास्य कवि श्री के.के. राजस्थानी| अपनी कविताओं के माध्यम से सभी कवियों ने भारतीय संस्कृति, भारतीय कला, भारतीय परंपराओं, हिंदी भाषा और उसके महत्व जैसे गंभीर विषयों के प्रति एक बार पुनः सभी को जागृत किया| सभी कवियों की कविताओं ने श्रोताओं को थोड़ा गुदगुदाया, थोड़ा रुलाया, थोड़ा चेताया और श्रोताओं का भरपूर मनोरंजन किया | यह आयोजन विशेष रूप से विद्यालय के अध्यापक/ अध्यापिकाओं के लिए किया गया था ताकि उनका भरपूर मनोरंजन हो सके और वह प्रफुल्लित मन से अपने कर्तव्यों का पालन कर छात्रों को सभ्य - सुशिक्षित -जागरूक नागरिक बनाएं|
