WORLD DAY OF REMEMBRANCE 20.11.2016

World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims (WDR) is commemorated on the third Sunday of November every year .This year students from Middle Classes participated in the event organized by TRAX ( Road Safety Ngo) at Jantar Mantar on 20.11.2016 .Around 250 students from various schools and colleges participated in the event. Students presented a Nukkad Natak sending out the message for the need to create awareness to obey road safety to avoid road   crashes. Aditya Yadav of class IX and Dev Agnani of class VIII delivered heart touching speech for observance of Road Safety as a Social As Well As Personal Responsibility. Students also distributed road safety pamphlets people attending the event.

Puppet Show for Tiny tots

For developing speaking and listening skills a hand puppet show was conducted for the tiny tots on 25th November 2016. Hand Puppet play helps children to develop their creative skills by forcing them to use their imaginations. They are too imaginative to make up the roles, the rules, the situations and the solutions. An imaginative play helps the children to understand the differences between fantasy and reality world. A story related to frog and monkey having a moral using of the presence of mind during trouble was told to the students. Another story about how to welcome guests in our homes was shown through puppet show.

Colouring activity for Tiny Tots

To enhance the creative and artistic skills among the students of classes LKG and UKG an activity named Draw a Scene of Water was conducted on 22nd Nov 2016 and 23rd Nov 2016. Children drew a beautiful underwater scene in their respective drawing files and done thumb printing to make fishes. Our tiny tots participated enthusiastically in the activity. All in all this activity turned out to be exciting and encouraging for the students. 

IT'S HIGH TIME, IT'S MY TIME

Children's Day was celebrated on 15th November 2016 by the students on classes LKG and UKG to mark the birth anniversary of our first Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru as he loved children and believed that they are the bright future of India. Students were made aware about the importance of education and children?s right about education. Other than this there was fun session for the students. Tiny tots celebrated this day with great zeal and enthusiasm.

Cleanliness Drive by SAC Club

To initiate a healthy atmosphere Cleanliness Drive was organized by the school in the month of October. They encouraged them to undertake hygiene and sanitation related activities.About 1500 students whole hearted took participation, which was immediately followed by overseeing and monitoring the cleanliness and hygiene of the Institution by ?Swachhata Ambassador Committee (SAC)? comprising of 7 teachers and 12 students. The whole initiative was highly beneficial as it broadened the student?s vision to clean and to develop the healthy habits. Students of all class applied the concept of cleanliness by cleaning their classroom. They cleaned their desks, arranged bags and bottles and did dusting of the windows, doors, blackboard and smart board and corners of their classes. The message derived from the activity was that any work is best done when it is carried out by a person himself.The students not only participated voluntarily in different activities but also performed with great zeal. They encouraged the fellow students to undertake hygiene and sanitation as a priority to live a healthy life.Thus the effort to engage the students for Swachh Bharat Mission was highly motivating, inspirational and was successfully achieved.

Celebration of Constitutional Day

Freedom in the Mind, Faith in the words...Pride in our souls....

Let?s salute the nation on this important day.

The Constitution is the supreme law of India. It lays down the framework defining fundamental political principles and to create awareness about the structure, procedures, powers and duties of government institutions, fundamental rights, directive principles and the duties of citizens Constitutional Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and with patriotic spiriton 25th November 2016 at M.M PUBLIC SCHOOL, Pitampura in the school premises amid staff and students.

Students from Class XI decorated the Soft board with Constitution Preamble on the tricolor border. To commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, Pratima of class 10-A gave the introduction about the Preamble which awakened everyone?s feelings towards our Mother Land followed by Sanket Barman of class 10-C who also expressed his views on the significance of the Day. He explained the meaning of key elements of Preamble of the Constitution.

Not only Mass reading of Constitution but Group discussionon the Constitutional Heritage of India by Social Science teachers was also conducted for classes VI-XI. The teachers exhorted the students to follow the ideals of the national heroes like B.R Ambedkar, Mahatma GandhiNehruSubhash Chandra Bose etc. They advised the students to become ideal citizens of the country.

 The Programme shined up with the Constitutional Quiz conducted for Junior (VI-VIII) and Senior (IX-XII) Classes which boosted the morale of students to appreciate the vastness of Indian Constitution .Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day to love and respect our country and make it a better place for Indians to live and experience the freedom, peace and unity in diversity.This celebration reminds the students that the Constitutional Day has a great importance in every citizen?s life ,freedom is sacred and citizens should regard it as their ethical obligation to ensure that it shall not be endangered.

Rally On Reduce Reuse Recycle by Eco Club

To create awareness about Reduce Reuse and Recycle among the students of class IX rally was organized by Eco club in the neighborhood on 22nd November 2016. Students had put forward their ideas through slogans Go Green Reduce Reuse Recycle; Don?t Thrash Our Future but Recycle.Students interacted with people by explaining three great R?s which protect our environment. Pamphlets were also distributed in the neighborhood describing ways to eliminate waste. 

 

PROCESS WRITING OF INTERNATIONAL AND NATIONAL CUISINE

To enhance the writing skills of the students, an activity Process Writing of International and National Cuisine was conducted on November 23, 2016. The students from class V to X participated in the activity and also wrote process writing of different recipes of different nations like Germany, America, Australia, Japanese etc. During the activity students learnt about the wide spread diversity of food around the world. Through this students were able to connect themselves globally. This activity, thus promoted the knowledge of different recipes of different nation among the students. All in all this activity helped to knit the world together.
