To make students understand the development of different regional cultures and cultural practices, an enriching session was organised in grade VII in last week of November at virtual platform.

The session commenced with the explanation of various aspects that defines culture of different regions like forms of dance, language, music, literature and tradition. Later a PPT was shown to students in order to explain importance of various regional languages at the time of different rulers and make them understand how a culture form. Furthermore, learners showcased their learning by performing graceful folk dance, making rangoli and lively miniature paintings during the session.’

Thus, a session that focused on learning by doing turned out to be beneficial for all the students. They were able to identify similarities and differences between different regional cultures effectively.

To create awareness about harmful effects of tobacco consumption and to ensure effective implementation of strategies for prevention and control of tobacco, a well- intended workshop cum training session organized by District Tobacco Control Cell was held in school on Friday, 26th November 2021 in Conference Room for all the staff members with proper Covid protocol.

The eminent resource person Dr. Renu Aggarwal, Chief District Medical Officer, Dr. Avkash Daulta, District Programme Officer of NTCP and Meenakshi Hebram Chief District Medical Officer were welcomed with token of love and respect by honorable Principal Ma’am Mrs. Rooma Pathak.

The distinguished speakers gave their insight on harmful effects of tobacco and how it can lead to stroke, cancer, sub-mucous fibrosis and lung failure. They also intrigued and captivated the attention of teaching faculty on the fact that ‘Why do people smoke?’. . Primarily, they emphasized on various preventive measures to reduce consumption of tobacco by using nicotine gum, a patch, nasal spray etc. They discussed about Quit Smoking Apps which can help one to discontinue such practice. An informative presentation shown by Dr Avkash Daulta which displayed information about Global Youth Tobacco Survey designed to monitor tobacco use among youth updated the knowledge of all. The Teaching faculty was not only informed of the fact about lack of awareness of harmful effects and its prevention of consumption of tobacco among youth but also encouraged them to promote Tobacco free society

Thus, it was an informative workshop which encouraged teachers to build a safe environment by empowering youth to reject tobacco products and create tobacco free generation.

To enable the children to accurately identify shapes and enable them to see the connections between objects in environment, an activity entitled “INTERACTION WITH SHAPES” was organized on Thursday i.e, November 18, 2021 at virtual platform.

Teacher made earnest efforts to indulge students in various activities like making paper plate pizza with toppings of different shapes. Little masterchefs chopped vegetables in different shapes and made delicious sandwiches. It was funfilled activity which helped them to understand different shapes.

All in all, the activity was engaging and productive . Students were able to understand , identify and differentiate between different shapes.

Guru Nanak Jayanti commemorates the birthday of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the first Sikh guru and the founder of Sikhism. It is the most sacred festival of the Sikh community. The festival is celebrated with great religious dedication and devotion across India, mainly in the states of Punjab, Haryana and abroad.

The ardent students of M.M. Public School celebrated Gurpurab on the virtual platform with great fervour and gaiety. The celebration started with a prayer to memorialize the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, followed by the chanting of the soothing holy ‘Shabads’ by our tiny tots during class, making the whole ambience serene and pious.

A special video was shown to the students about the principles and teachings of the pious soul, Guru Nanak Dev Ji, which reiterated the message of ‘One God’ and the ‘Eternal Truth’. The programme concluded on a happy note with the unbeatable excitement amongst the students. The festival was celebrated by all the students with great pride, honor and respect.

To mark the essence of childhood and celebrate the birth anniversary of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, a special day was assigned for activities for grade II- VIII on Friday, 12 November 2021 at virtual platform

The day commenced with fun and frolic activities like Mask making, flying rocket, Salad making and various other art and craft activities to delight and regale the students. A documentary shown on the life of Pt. Jawaharlal Lalal Nehru upgraded the knowledge of learners. Students also wore traditional dresses and engaged themselves in various activities which left a lasting impact on the them.

The school always strives to emerge out for something new for the students.  Thus, with the vast arena of fun filled activities, it proved to be a memorable day for the students.

To imbibe the importance of culture and to showcase our country’s cultural glory, Folk Dance Competition one of the Zonal Cultural Activities 2021-22 was organised on Friday, November 12, 2021 in the school premises.

The event commenced with the lamp lighting ceremony by our honourable Principal Ma’am Mrs Rooma Pathak, revered guests Mrs. Kamini Rawat, SPE (Zone XI North West B) and Mrs Arpita Neogy Cultural Secretary (Zone XI North West B) and esteemed judges Mrs Vani not only an eminent artist with Ministry of Culture but also an ‘A’ graded artist of Delhi Doordarshan and Mr Subhash Pawar and eminent Kathak Dancer member of Guru Smt. Shovana Narayan Ji.  The guests and judges were felicitated with token of love and respect by our esteemed Principal Ma’am Mrs. Rooma Pathak, followed by Saraswati Vandana and portrayal of different Indian folk dances by senior category girls’ group and Boys group and judges for their gracious presence.

It was a moment of great pride when Aman Joy of Class XII got 3rd position in Long Jump in Athletic Zonal Event held at Bal Bharti Public School, Pitampura on 11th November 2021.

To commemorate the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first Education Minister of independent India, various activities were conducted for the students of Grade I to XII on 11 November 2021.

Poem Recitation for students in grades I to V, speeches for students in grades VI to VIII, and essay writing for students in grades IX to XII were all held, with students emphasizing the importance of everyone's basic and essential rights. The activities focused on Kalam's idea of instilling life skills and technical talents in order to earn a living and become employable.

Students’ ideas on educational excellence and universal access to primary education were admired and accepted by all. The activities fostered the talent of students and brought confidence in them.
