ANTI-TOBACCO ACTIVITY

“Smoking is like paying someone to kill you!!!”

To make the students realize the harms of tobacco, a series of activities were conducted for Class VI-IX on Thursday,12th May 2022 in the school premises.

The students of Grade-VI to Grade-IX prepared CREATIVES such as Posters, Essay Writing and Slogan Writing depicting the harmful effects of Tobacco in a very convincing way and also took Pledge to educate youth to stay away from tobacco as it is deleterious to health. All the students participated zealously with great passion and perceived the detrimental effects of Tobacco on physical and mental health.

All the students enthusiastically participated in the activities. Our Revered Principal Madam Mrs. Rooma Pathak appreciated the efforts of students with a message to stay away from Tobacco for their healthy self and healthy society.

FREE VACCINATION CAMP FOR STUDENTS AT MMPS

‘We are in this together and we will get through this together.’

To mobilize the chain of vaccination and overcome this deadly disease, Free Vaccination Camp was organized on Tuesday, 17th May 2022 in the premises of M.M. Public School for the age group of 12 to 14 years.

Over 61 children from our school and nearby vicinity benefitted from the vaccination by a well-qualified team of doctors which surely will prove to be a great help in controlling the rise of the epidemic. This was carried out under the strict observance of Covid protocols. All precautions and measures were taken to ensure the safety of children until felt fit to send home with their parents. The zeal and trust shown by parents were truly a felicitation.

The entire vaccination camp was successfully carried out under the able direction and supervision of our honorable Principal Madam Ms. Rooma Pathak.

Alphabet recognition enables the beginner readers to figure out how printed text is associated with spoken language. As such little Jerries of Grade L.K.G learnt alphabet ‘E’ on May 12, 2022’ through lots of Fun Activities.

FIRE MOCK DRILL CONDUCTED IN MMPS

"The effectiveness of coping with disasters depends on how prepared you are to deal with disasters".

In continuation with the exercise to create awareness among the students and school staff members about disaster management, a mock drill was conducted by CEASE FIRE INDUSTRIES in MMPS on Monday, April 19, 2022, alerting everyone about the ways to respond swiftly in times of such emergencies.

The objective of the mock drill is to review the organization's emergency preparedness plan and evaluate the quality of the standard operating procedure, so that concerned persons would deliver their duties effectively while keeping in cognizance of life and property.

With school laboratories becoming more prone to fire accidents, students and teachers were educated on how to respond to fire emergencies with care.

The drill was carried out in the school premises to prepare students and other staff members for any such eventuality under the fire risk reduction programme. Teacher and student volunteers were guided and assisted by conscripts from CEASE FIRE COMPANY to use the required equipment for fire extinguishers.

The students were also advised not to panic in such situations and were instructed to be with teachers and follow their instructions. Volunteers from CEASE FIRE INDUSTRIES shared simple and easy guidelines to follow with the students and also awarded them about Do's and Dont's regarding the possibilities of fire. Some students were also called on stage to operate fire extinguishers independently.

Mock Drill was monitored by respected principal madam Mrs. Rooma Pathak. The Drill proved to be informative and an imperative lesson on life-saving skills.

Learning Letter ‘H’

Children mastered Letter ‘H’ recognition further accelerated through “Hand on Experience”, Story narration by the teacher, Various activities, Crafts, Jolly Phonic Sound, action etc.

A preschooler’s day is full of fun, learning experiences and excitement. 

Mother’s Day Celebration by Pre-Primary

On 6th May students of the Pre-primary wing celebrated “Mother’s Day” with Love and Enthusiasm.

The event commenced with a special Role- Play done by the teachers to inculcate amongst little munchkins how important it is to love & respect one’s Mother.

Little pals enacted like their mother and enjoyed those moments.

 Kids did a special craft and made beautiful badges for their mothers. It was indeed a pleasure watching the dynamic & energetic children preparing something unique and special for their mothers. 

It was an enjoyable and memorable day for each child, which left an indubitable mark on innocent hearts.

Yellow Colour

Yellow Colour Day was celebrated on 4th May 22’ with Pre-School Students.

Yellow Colour Stands for Optimism, Glory and Happiness.

Little pals spoke about yellow colour objects which they had brought from their home. They also sang rhymes, watched associated Videos and did activities related to yellow colour.

The motive of celebrating the yellow colour day was to make children aware of the yellow colour, its significance and to develop fine motor skills in students.

It was an amazing learning experience that had a long-lasting effect on each child.

Learning Letter L

Learning letters is so much fun!!

Little munchkins Learned Letter “L” through various activities, Stage Extempore, Hand-on Experience etc.

Learning Jolly Phonic along with proper voice intonation and right actions Helped the little learners to construct Letter “L” more effortlessly.

INAUGURATION OF WOW PRIZE DISTRIBUTION CEREMONY

 “Be the part of the solution not pollution”

To make the students realise that maintaining a healthy environment by doing proper waste management is the only solution for the survival of all the species on the earth WOW (Wonders Out of Waste) garden was created by the students with single-use of plastic which was inaugurated after the lamp lightening Ceremony by the esteemed Chief Guests Shri Sudheer Khurana, System Manager of “Indian Centre for Plastic in the Environment”, Mumbai and Mr. Manish Khandelwal GM MARKETING, GAIL (INDIA) along with Director Sir Mr. Somesh Rishi Pathak and honourable Principal Madam Mrs. Rooma Pathak on Saturday, 30th April, at 11 am.

The mini-garden WOW was fabricated by the students using discarded plastics, toys, gumboots, containers of plastic and aluminium & different planters made by using deflated tires in a befitting manner to create a raw art. About 12 to 15 hundred discarded plastic bottles along with 9kg of bottle caps were used to make it which was applauded by the guests.

Blessings of Goddess Saraswati were also invoked by the students of Class V to X which was followed by the presentation of the Annual Report of all the achievements of meritorious students of the Session 2019- 20 and 2020-2021 by revered Principal Madam.

The Cultural Programme ‘Medley’ an eye-catching performance based on yoga, dance and drama by the students of Classes V-IX gave the message on how to save our mother earth that enthralled parents and the guests.

Prize Distribution Ceremony to felicitate the Academic and Non-Academic achievers was also conducted. The prizes were awarded to the meritorious students by honourable Chief Guests, Mr. Sudheer Khurana and Mr. Manish Khandelwal along with Director Sir, Mr. Somesh Rishi Pathak, and esteemed Principal Madam. The Chief Guests also shared notable tips on how students as change-makers can do wonders to save the environment. They also motivated them to keep excelling in Academics and Non- Academic fields.

The entire programme culminated with a Vote of Thanks and National Anthem. Thus, the Inauguration and Prize Distribution Ceremony was successful and applauded by everyone.

Labour Day Celebration by Tiny Tots

To commemorate the Labour Day and to celebrate the efforts of support staff who work with full dedication and ensure the hygiene and security of the students, pals of Pre-Primary Section, i.e., L.K.G. to Grade-1 conducted a thanksgiving ceremony on 2nd May 2022 with great enthusiasm and gusto.

The special message assembly enlightened the young minds and sent forth a reverberating message that “Labour” in its any form is praiseworthy and should be acknowledged duly.
