HAWAN OF CLASS LKG AND UKG ON 21-07-2014

To invoke the value of spirituality among the students "Hawan" was organized for class LKG and UKG on 21st April 2014. Students participated with full enthusiasm under the guidance of their class teachers Ms. Alka, Ms Amarjot, Ms. Rinki and Ms. Ishmeet. Students touched the feet of priest after covering their heads with handkerchiefs to get his blessings .The students chanted Gayatri and Maha Mrityunjay mantra whose meaning was well explained by the priest.

Thus, it was all in all an enriching and motivating experience for them.

INTERACTION WITH DR. NITYANAND TRIPATHI - HEAD OF MEDICINE (MAX HOSPITAL) ON 11-07-2014

It was a matter of great honour for the students of science section of class XII to have an interaction with the Head of Medicine Dr. Nityanand Tripathi on  July 11 2014.The students Varsha, Simran, Aditya and Sahiba greeted the doctor with bouquet of flowers and Memento. The interaction began with a round of questions like How he handles lots of work pressure?, How he reached to the zenith of his career? He answered smilingly that he handles the pressure with ease and hard work counted a lot in reaching to the top. His answers inspired the students to excel in future. All in all it was a motivational and inspiring interaction

It was a moment of pride when Md. Mohsin Hussain student of M.M. Public School studying in class XI set 4 world records. He set the record for doing most push-ups in one minute. He made record for mini push-ups, knuckle push-ups, one arm push-ups, etc. in 2014 World Record

INTERACTION WITH DEEN DAYAL UPADHYAYA COLLEGE PRINCIPAL ON 23-05-2014

Interactions help the students to explore new avenues.The students of class 12th Pooja , Shuaba, Rafeek, Manish, Aditya had a golden opportunity to interact with Dr. Suresh Kumar Garg the Principal of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College(DDUC) on 23rd May,2014 at 10:00 am . He was greeted with bouquet and memento which was followed by a series of question answers . The students asked him how to excel in the field of Chemistry to which he answered that interest and passion for the subject is very important . He also told about many institutes and various books to be read to widen the mental horizon. All in all it was a motivating and enriching interaction.

INTERVIEW QUESTIONS

Q1- You have excelled in chemistry not only at M.Sc level but also at P.hd level . Sir, may we know how we as a student can excel in this subject?

Ans1-  It all depends on one?s  interest  for the subject. I was weak in chemistry during my school days but developed interest  for chemistry during my higher studies.To excel in any subject one should be clear with all the basic concepts rather  than just cramming them.

Q2- What are your hobbies?

Ans- My hobbies are Trekking and Travelling.I love to travel and explore many places but due to my hectic schedule I am not able to give much time to it.

Q3- How you relax yourself inspite of  your  hectic schedule?

Ans-I  physically relax myself by taking a nap  while travelling in car and meditation helps me relax mentally.

Q4- What are your views about current scenario of education ?

Ans- Current system of education is better than the earlier one .Earlier it was cramming but now it is conceptual and understanding based. There are many colleges  with variation in courses which offers  lot of scope for students.

Q5- Four years of graduation programme has been introduced .Do you think it is beneficial for students?

Ans- Every thing has its own pros and cons.The advantages of Four year graduation programme are one can leave the course after two years and have diploma as well. After three years the student can leave and have degree as well.The four year programme will help him to have a honours degree and also make him eligible to study abroad.

Q6- What do think to be your greatest accomplishment?

Ans- Teaching is my greatest accomplishment. It is my passion and nothing can equal it.

Q7- Sir, What were your feelings when you were awarded with the Ambassador for peace award by the Universal Peace Federation?

Ans- I felt extremely happy and good about it.

Q8- Sir, what made you specialize in Inorganic Chemistry ?

Ans- I  initially hated Chemistry because it was not understanding but cramming based. During higher studies my teacher helped me to develop interest in the subject. I started liking organic chemistry but due to lots of natural elements difficult to cope up with the subject so, I decided to switch to inorganic chemistry and thus specialized in the subject.

NCC CAMP FROM 13-05-2014 TO 22-05-2014

NCC students of M. M. Public School, Vasudha Enclave, Pitampura participated in the combined annual training camp held at GBSSS, badly Delhi - 42 from 13 May 2014 to 22 may 2014. The students participated with enthusiasm gained much knowledge from this camp. This interactive session filled the students with vigor and energy which will be beneficial for their future life. ACTIVITIES ON ENDANGERED SPECIES BY SCIENCE CLUB

The science club organized an activity on "Endangered Species" in the months of April and May for classes VIth - Xth.

Varied activities were performed to create awareness about endangered species amongst the students.

Grade VI wrote a CINQUAIN, which is a short poem describing the feelings of the poet. Grade VII made beautiful Posters of their Endangered Species. Grade VIII showcased their knowledge about Endangered Species by attempting a Questionnaire. Grades IX and X researched about Endangered Species of different Countries and presented the same in front of the class.
These activities made the students sensitive about other species. They understood why is it important to save other species so that they can be saved from extinction, what has the government done in this regard and what can they do to save these species.

QUIZ COMPETITION ON ENDANGERED SPECIES BY READERS CLUB ON 15-05-2014

The Readers club of the school organized Quiz Competition on Endangered Species in the school premises on 15th May, 2014. The students from class VII participated. There were 3 teams (Panda, Tiger and Lion) with two members each.  It  was  a  tough  competition with  variety of questions  from the topic  Endangered Species and was  enjoyed  by the students as  an  attentive  audience. The quiz master Ayjaz of class XI-A cherished the students mind with wonderful questions.  Bhavik and Karan (Team Panda) were declared winners.  The event  was  graced  with  the  presence  of  Principal Mrs. Rooma  Pathak who  endorsed   the  success  of  the  event  with  her words  of  appreciation.  The competition was well organized by Readers club Incharge Mrs. Usha.

With the motive to raise awareness and concern among students about endangered species the school organized an intra school skating competition where teams were named as different animals of endangered species. VISIT TO YAMUNA BIODIVERSITY ON 02-05-2014

Students of Class VII  visited  Yamuna  Biodiversity  Park on 2-5-2014 . It was a great learning experience for the students   to witness a huge variety of plants, birds and microbes species . Yamuna Biodiversity Park is a luxurious grassland spread over 20 acres of land with 20 species of palatable grasses , home to many grassland birds, small mammals , reptiles and insects. Students learnt that unscientific and unsustainable use of the resources of nature will threat the very survival of humans  and biodiversity conservation was  a prime importance of the young generation to take care of.
