Judo Zonal Competition

It was a moment of immense pleasure when following students of M.M Public School, Vasudha Enclave, Pitampura achieved 1st & 3rd position in Judo Zonal Tournament held on 21st  August   2015  at  DAV  Pushpanjali.

KITE FLYING COMPETITION

Kite Flying was observed on 14th August 2015 to mark its association with liberty and freedom of humanity, by the sports club at Sheesh Mahal (a heritage) adopted by M.M. Public School. Kite flying started at 9:30 a.m. The students declared their independence of the whole nation by flying the kites high and turning the whole sky into a fairy land. Their cheerful shouts and enthusiasm was worth watching.  Along with the enjoyment and pleasure it boosted their confidence and dream to soar high where sky is the limit. The whole activity ended on a happy note. Thus the day was really memorable both for the participants and the spectators.

MMPIAN AT THE INTERNATIONAL LEVEL A PROUD MOMENT FOR THE NATION AND SCHOOL

It was a golden and honourable moment for M.M. Public School, Pitampura, Delhi when Sacchitt Sharma of class IX after defeating Bradley Buckland of Derbyshire by 6-4,0-6,6-4 won the Boys title in the HSBC Road to Wimbledon UK under -14 Tennis Championship on the grass courts on Saturday the 15 August 2015 . Though the final was tougher than the league match still with sheer and stark grit and determination he understood on how to use weapons of sporting skills and gave his best performance. Sacchitt earlier also has beaten the top seed Mathew Clegg of Yorkshire in the Semi-finals, in straight sets. This made the former Davis Cupper Vishaal Uppal so pleased about the achievement of Sacchitt Sharma the MMPIAN that he remarked "It was the best gift to the nation on Independence Day." The school applauds with salute to such an excellent performer who won accolades in Wimbledon Tennis Championship. 

VAN MAHOTSAV

The saying "Keep a green tree in your heart and perhaps a singing bird will come" was initiated in the students for celebration of  Vanmohatsava week celebrated 10Aug?15 to 14Aug?15. The captains of each class explained the importance of Vanmohatsava during Vanmohatsava week. Students of Eco club planted saplings along with Principal mam in the school premises.During Special assembly the stage was decorated with posters and quotations created atmosphere for the care of environment. Mehak Khurana  of class 10-A hosted the event with huge enthusiasm whereas Himanshi and Mandavi of class 10-C shared their views through speech on ?VANMOHATSAVA?. Sayma of class 3-B  recited a beautiful poem and our tiny stars Siya of class 4-B, Aashna and Hridya of class 5-A performed a small skit on ?CHIPKOO MOVEMENT?.Last but not the least, Disha of class 1-B acted as a fairy and shared her views on Save Environment.This week helped in spreading awareness regarding the importance of trees in our lives among the children. The celebrations of Vanmohatsava week were  motivational and inspiring to all the students as they took back the message to not only Save but also Plant more trees.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

MMPS celebrated 69th Independence day with great enthusiasm and Patriotic spirit.

Various activities based on India and its freedom were performed by the houses and music and drama club.

Tiny Tots were beautifully dressed up in freedom fighters.Some of them performed dances and some recited poem.Students enjoyed the activities and the whole environment was filled with the feeling of Unity and Integrity.

At last whole school ground echoed with the sound of"JAI HIND".

FLAMELESS COOKING

Tiny tots of M.M.P.S. had flameless cooking on 12th August?2015. In this activity they prepared ?Tri- Colour Sandwich? by using bread, butter, sauces and vegetables. Teacher has explained about the ingredients, their nutritional value and method of preparation. Students have garnished the sandwich with their favourite sauce. They enjoyed the yummy sandwich.

 

INVESTITURE CEREMONY

To inculcate the feeling of leadership, sense of commitment and dedication M. M. Public School organized Investiture Ceremony on 11th  August , 2015. The former Head girl and Head boy handed over their respective flags and badges to their successors.  The student?s council comprising of new Head boy, Head girl, Assistant Head boy, Assistant Head girl, Captain, Vice captain and Prefects of four houses pledged their loyalty to the school and also took oath to uphold the values promoted by the alma mater. The new appointees expressed their gratitude towards the Principal and the Staff Members who entrusted them with positions of such responsibility.  The Principal, Mrs. Rooma Pathak expressed her confidence in the ability of the newly appointed leaders to take the school to greater heights.  The new appointees are:-

DEPICTING EMOTIONS OF PARROT

The students of Heritage club prepared posters on how parrots showed their emotions like happiness, sadness, thinking ability. Students participated with enthusiasm.

Hockey Zonal Competition

It was a moment of immense pleasure when Sr. Boys Hockey team (Kunal, Vijay, Upanshu, Sahil, Parvij, Rishi, Shanwaz, Akash, Abid, Vishal, Vinod, Deepanshu, Lalit, Shivam, Rohit) of our school achieved IIIrd position in Hockey Zonal Tournament in "Under-19 Boys" Category held on 4th August 2015  at  GBSSS No. 1, Keshav Puram, Delhi. 

LAWN TENNIS ZONAL COMPETITION

To instill the qualities of sports man and competitive spirit, a Lawn Tennis Zonal Tournament was organized on 24th July 2015. Around 20 schools from North Zone participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. The chief-guest SPE Mrs. Pushpa Ratnam , Sports Secretary Boys  Mr. Y.D Sharma, Sports Secretary Girls Mrs. Rajesh along with Mrs. Rooma Pathak, the Principal of School inaugurated the tournament. The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony also evoked passion and zeal among the sporting stars of the tournament. All in all, students learnt the values of co-operation and team-spirit.
