Smt. Krishna Pathak Memorial Twentieth Inter-School Painting and Craft Competition
M.M. Public School, Pitampura celebrated Smt. Krishna Pathak Memorial Twentieth Inter-School Painting and Craft Competition in memory of founder Late Smt. Krishna Pathak on Wednesday, 4 December 2024. Around 5528 students from 132 schools across Delhi & NCR including underprivileged children and children with special needs participated in the event with immense enthusiasm and vibrant energy.
The Honorable Special Guest Mr. Sudheer Khurana (Manager Systems & Communications of ICPE, Mumbai) & Ms. Poonam Gupta (Project Officer at ICPE, Mumbai) along with respected Director Sir Shri Somesh Rishi Pathak and esteemed Principal Ma’am Ms Rooma Pathak declared the competition open with a lamp lighting ceremony followed by an inspiring speech by the special guest. He discussed the innovative practices of 3 Rs and how plastics can be recycled, reduced and reused. He also laid emphasis on the influence of artistic skills to rejuvenate one's body and soul.
The students displayed exceptional creativity and skills through various artistic endeavors such as paintings, crafts, graffiti, rangoli, collage making, mask making, and many more. These creative expressions were inspired by themes based on the recommendations of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasizes holistic development and a multidisciplinary approach to education. Key themes like Atmanirbhar Bharat, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), recycling of plastic, artificial intelligence, climate change, and green technology inspired unique and innovative ideas from the young minds. The event was a vibrant celebration of talent and imagination, reflecting the progressive vision of NEP 2020.
The colorful event was a resounding success.
